  1. Welcome Lani. Your Predeicta looks good. There's lots of info available here and lots to learn. I'm amazed at some of the builds shown on the site. They're just fantastic.
  2. So when are going to see pics and pricing?
  3. Photobucket is back and here's pics of my spraybooth. The cart came from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool (don't remember which), compressor, light fixture, exhaust fan from Lowe's. I wired so there's an extension cord to plug in and that provides power to the 4 switched receptacles (light, fan, compressor, spare). It's modeled after the large, expensive Pace unit but not as expensive. I cut a hole in the shop wall and mounted a dryer vent and attached the 4" hose. On the booth side I used a PVC fitting to attache the hose to and notched the PVC to latch onto bolts on the fan housing.
  4. Yeah. It is a nice kit and goes together well. You can see now what I mean about the box. I've been saving it because I thought somebody might want it. I guess it'll go in the trash can.
  5. What I meant about the Catalina box is that it has pictures on it - not just a plain old box. I'll try to take some pics for you.
  6. I use Plasticote primer shot from the can. Seems to be a finer spray pattern.
  7. How long do you keep a model in one of those things?
  8. Your gas coupe is looking good and I'm enjoying your progress. One comment/question - aren't the rear shocks upside down?
  9. Thirty bucks for a box?? Have you seen the box for the new '62 Pontiac Catalina? I saved it because I thought somebody might be interested in it - sounds like you're the guy! Would you care to trade something for it? Maybe a set of wheels or a couple of chrome air cleaners?
  10. Pace has been ot there for years and from what I understand makes a terrific product. I would think you being the new kid on the block would need to be significantly lower in price than Pace. What about an option to have an outside exhaust? Using cheap furnace filters?
  11. Welcome. You can have a lot of fun here and might be able to learn a thing or two about modeling. It's great. Don't forget the internet as a supply source. There's a ton of goodies out there.
  12. I made mine from plywood, a 24" tube light, bathroom exhaust fan ducted outside, 12" x 24" furnace filter. I used Pace drawings as a guide. It's sits on a mobile cart and I wired it so there's seperate switches for the fan, light, compressor, and a spare. I imagine if you do a search on the forum that you'd be able to get all kinds of tips and pics.
  13. Thanks for the positive comments, fellas.
  14. I like it - lots! Looks so good sitting up high.
  15. Good looking build. Must have taken quite a while for the BMF.
  16. That sounds like a lot of work, Lee, but the flat black would probably covered better. I guess it's back out to the shop.
  17. Thanks Dusty. The grill is solid and I did put a black wash on it to look like the bars were seperate. Maybe I should have put on another coat to further define them.
  18. Here's some pics of my latest build. HOK candy Brandywine with Tamiya TS65 clear, Novos #2, and then finished with Model Car Wax. The wheels came from the parts bin. Interior is flocked, BMF, polished aluminumn exhaust, wired engine.
  19. I don't buy much from Ebay so wouldn't know the prices. I sent a question about shipping costs to the guy selling his "rare" '66 Chevy that hasn't been made for 40 years. Never heard back.
  20. Looks like you have the talented family. Super builds.
  21. Throw it in the freezer and let it sit there for a few hours. Should then pull apart much easier.
  22. Noble?? Never hard of it. It is a nice looking car though.
  23. I still think fire trucks should be red - but what detail you have - UNREAL!! Fantastic!! What scale is it?
