What a great looking hot rod!
  3. Thanks for the info, Mark, but you have the wrong email. The correct email is horners@ttd.net. I've ordered wheels from Time Machine Resin. When they come in and hopefully they look good, off they go to Little Model Kar Co. for chrome plating. Thanks again for your help.
  4. I love ya, Dave. Now will you post the detailed leather interior tutorial? Please I don't care about the chrome system.
  5. Congratulations and good luck to your son. Are you the Walt Francis the 1:1 wiring guy?
  6. Talk about big & little wheel/tire sets. Great looking build.
  7. A hot rod Mercedes - a most excellent build.
  8. Evergreen is easier to cut - saw, snips, nail clippers.
  9. Okay Greg. I'll play the game. Why didn't you think of that? Why would anyone use the brass and Evergreen? Either one would work but the Evergreen might be less expensive.
  10. No need for metal when you can go plastic. Evergreen makes a styrene rod almost the same size as the old metal axles and they come about 12" long so you can easily cut them to the length you need. Bing. Bang. Done.
  11. I believe Scarlett is your girlfriend, Mark. I saw the pic.
  12. Been outta school for a long time myself. I like it when school is out down here so I don't to put up with all those darn yellow buses in the mornings and afternoons. School is out for the summer but they still take the taxes. You want kids in school? You pay for it instead of me.
  13. I'm planning to purchase some resin wheels but will need them chrome plated. Since Treehugger Dave isn't posting about his water based system, I guess I'll need to find another plater. I've been to the website of Chrome Tech, but heard there was at least another chrome plater around. Does anyone have websites for the other guy(s). Appreciate any help and/or suggestions.
  14. Whoa Mark. Time Machine Resin has some wheels I want. Thanks for posting their website. I hope their wheels will fit Ma's Resin soft rubber tires.
  15. Does anybody make a mini-sandblaster?
  16. Sounds like a plan, TJ. I've dealt with Scale Dreams several times and think it's a great place to do business with.
  17. Sorry to hear of your loss, Jody. Your family will be in my prayers.
  18. I was at the Ocala, FL store last week and they were remodeling the whole plastic/die cast area.
  19. What the heck is cellulose paint? Isn't that the stuff women get on their thighs?
  20. You gotta take care of yourself first. The forum will be here waiting for you. Want to send those kits to FLA to dry out? We haven't had a drop of rain in 2 weeks and it's been in the 90s. Just came inside from giving my plants a drink or water.
  21. Yes, the title is true. Starting tomorrow (June 14, 2010) for a week, Hobby Lobby will be having 30% off all plastic kits and die casts.
  22. Aaron, Can 4" duct work be attached easily to that motor? Don't you need to vent outdoors?
  23. Yo Fuel Injected - go to Woodland Scenics website and check the dealers. I didn't count them, but there are probably 12 or so dealers in Australia taht carry the stuff.
  24. Sounds like a lot of work, John. I guess that's something else I need to try. Your build was certainly worth it. Gorgeous combo.
  25. Thanks for the correction, Brad.
