Well Bill, that was 1965 and my mind isn't the greatest. I remember Bristol Blue and I know it would on my '56 Chevy 210 post. As I recall, it was pretty similar to Chevy's Marina Blue on the '66 Chevelle's.
Does anybody know the gauge of wire the aftermarket guys (Scale Dreams, Model Car Garage, Detail Masters, pre-wired) sell? I usually use wire Model Car Garage wire looms and I need to make sure this 30ga wire will fit through them.
Telephone wire is too big! I order ignition wire from Scale Dreams. Comes in all kinds of colors and Rick has MCG wire looms too. Can't go wrong with there.
I was going to buy a Pace unit until I saw the price. I then printed the page(s) with the measurements and bought my own from plywood and used a bathroom exhaust fan.
I have since cut a 4" hole in a wall for the vent and added a 3 gallon air compressor. I'm kinda/sorta in change mode again. As soon as our pool is done, I'm planning a major change. I'd like to be able to get the buggy out without having to move the spray booth.
Wrong!! If you're doing a dune buggy, it has to be white with some purple pearl in the clear coat. Naturally you'll want a purple stripe with red accent stripe. Hmmm, you could just look at my avatar pic.
I've prepped the body and then used Plast-i-cote white sandable primer until everything was covered. Let it dry and shoot the pearl. Let it dry and shoot the clear.
Never bougth a resin piece. I understand you need to use the chassis from another kit to complete the resin unit. So what happens to the body from the original kit?
But I'm not doing the Yenko thing. The HOK Cobalt Blue pearl is drying. I tried Longbow's trick with Perfect Pearl in the clear. We'll see in a few days. Here's some pics of the interior & chassis.
