  1. I got mine and looks great! Sorry, I won't be at the show, but good luck.
  2. That's a good looking Camaro.
  3. I used to paint the chrome trim but find that BMF is easier. you can remove it and do it over if it gets messed up. Try that with paint. I've always used rattle cans but have recently moved over to an airbrush. I build for me and not contests and every kit is a new adventure. Get your pics posted!!
  4. Must have been a good time at what looks like a pretty neat place.
  5. Speakers look terrific, and so does the rolled & pleated interior. Is it Evergreen sheet? Those rear tires are looking good too! What are they from?
  6. Johnny - do you have a website for Mikes decals? I FOUND MIKE'S DECALS - thanks.
  7. I'll go with real this time.
  8. Lookin' godd, Doug - even though I'm an RC Cola person.
  9. Thanks for the ideas guys. I'll try to research collectible auto. Nice looking kit Steve.
  10. I picked up a Campbell Hausfield unit at Lowes several months ago. The tank has a 3 gallon capacity - it's actually 2 tanks stacked on top of each other. Came with regulators, hose, fittings, and a staple/nailer gun. It was about $70.00. Besides modeal cars, it can be used for a variety of other jobs around the house.
  11. Very nice looking build. Those the wheels from a '34 kit?
  12. Got the '62 Catalina kit and love the box art for the frond end with the tube grille, and I'll probably strip the chrome from the bumper to try and make a rolled apn look. But does anyone have any ideas about doing the rear end? My feeble mind is coming up blank. I'd hate to dod custom treatment on the front and leave the rear stock. Sure would appreciate your thoughts.
  13. I checked with an expert (MAD) and he uses 30 gauge wire. Good enough for me, thank you Kris.
  14. George53 - tried a PM but you box is full. Our package arrived from Japan and I need a snail mail address for you.
  15. Yes - wheel choices and how much are the Mickey Thompson's goin go be?
  16. Bought the stuff last week but I need to get the food coloring this week. Your tutorial is excellent. Thanks for the tip.
  17. Nice haul Greg. Know the size/gauge of those plug wires?
  18. Well Bill, that was 1965 and my mind isn't the greatest. I remember Bristol Blue and I know it would on my '56 Chevy 210 post. As I recall, it was pretty similar to Chevy's Marina Blue on the '66 Chevelle's.
  19. Unless Pontiac carried it over, it was 1960 Pontiac Bristol Blue - I painted my '56 Chevy 210 that color in 1965.
  20. I'd stay away from silicone caulk. Sometimes it reacts with paint and causes fisheye.
  21. Does anybody know the gauge of wire the aftermarket guys (Scale Dreams, Model Car Garage, Detail Masters, pre-wired) sell? I usually use wire Model Car Garage wire looms and I need to make sure this 30ga wire will fit through them.
  22. Nice lines on that car. Love the color.
  23. Looks pretty good. I think you're right about leaving the scallops off the doors. What are you plans for the box?
  24. Outboard? That puppy is screaming for an inboard V8!
  25. Telephone wire is too big! I order ignition wire from Scale Dreams. Comes in all kinds of colors and Rick has MCG wire looms too. Can't go wrong with there.
