  1. Looks outstanding!
  2. Good looking Nomad.
  3. I take pics, resize them one at a time, upload to photobucket, and post them here. NO MORE!! My wife's boss at the library found this - http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm The program enables you to resize a bunch of pics all at the same time. You can choose the amount of resize you want. Very cool tool.
  4. Children! Children! Let's all settle down and relax a little. What are we going to gain with name calling and accusations? I joined this forum to learn to make better models; to enjoy looking at the different builds of others; and to post my builds. I know mine aren't the greatest, but they're the best I can possibly do. That's all any of us can do. If somebody should be upset, it's me. I did invent the internet, you know.
  5. Hey Mike - I have the same pin vise as the one in the middle of your pic. Rusty & worn out looking too! I can't read the manufacturer on the barrel. Can you? I'd like to get at least another one just like it.
  6. Let's not get so negative. I've been scrouging around looking for leather. My Vietnam Veterans Gathering has a golf tournament tomorrow and I plan to hit guys for leather - maybe an old golf bag would work. Maybe their golf gloves could work? I could shake their hand and pull the glove off - then run! Back in the day, I remember using corduroy to get the rolled & pleated effect. Mom really liked me cutting up a fairly new shirt.
  7. Not a problem Ed. Glad to help. If you sign up at Michael's for email notices, you'll get the ads early. Hobby Lobby has the same deal if you sign up. I have to go up Ocala way next week to get an oil change so I'll probably hit Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and the LHS.
  8. Settle in and get with your family. Paint should good as long as you closed the lids tight. I left all my paints for almost 2 years when I left for boot camp, ITR, artillery school, and Vietnam. I have a couple of bottles of Testor's that are still good that I bought in the early 1990's.
  9. Just got an email notice that Michael's has a 50% off any one item Sunday, February 28 - Saturday, March 6, 2010.
  10. I don't really care who can outbuild who. I don't build for shows - just me! So when Dave mentioned a turorial on real leather interiors, I got excited. I also got excited about Nicks's trailer hitch tutorial, and excited with posts about getting a new airbrushe. I'm never going to spend $40 on a set of wheels $8 for Pegasus are enough. I'm never going to spend hundreds on an airbrush ($60 is plenty) or a spraybooth (homemade works). So lay off the garbage and let's get to the tutorial already. And whether you like it not, I'm not leaving this forum.
  11. I used to know this woman who like leather - but I'm not going there on this forum.
  12. have you tried doing a search here?
  13. Somebody posted here to use spray adhesive and then paint with whatever color. I tried the process on a '70 Challenger after using some half round Evergreen for the seams and the trim around where the roofline meets the body. It came out pretty decent but no pics because the completed model is up north. I've heard of people using masking tape to get the texture and somebody makes a vinyl roof kit (Model Car Garage??).
  14. Sorry to hear about the death, but WELCOME HOME!
  15. I was in 8th grade. Looks like a ton of putty was used.
  16. There was a fantastic R/C track in Crystal River but they moved someplace else and I don't know where.
  17. What gravel? Looks pretty good to me. My wife has some soft leather gloves in a dove grey - but she won't let me have them. I'll keep looking.
  18. Looks pretty good to me Nick. Where's Sally? Did you ever get the grille/bumper I mailed to you on 02/12/10? I got it, thank you would have been nice.
  19. Any closer shots of the interior panels? They look terrific.
  20. If the screws hold the grill and fan motor, maybe go in from the backside with a longer bolt and double nut on the outside.
  21. Read your latest post with great interest, Dave, and then I had a brain fart. Maybe the leather from old attache/brief cases could work. I have a couple collecting dust. And then I thought maybe the fabric from suitcases and carry-on bags. I don't know if they're canvas or nylon. But maybe???
  22. Looks long, low, and smooth. Cool.
  23. Terrific looking pumps, Ed. What scale are they?
  24. Welcome to the most terrific model car forum there is, Alan. I'm on a continuous learning curve here.
  25. What is MCW paint?
