  1. Overall it looks really good, but the plug wire boots on the distributor are odd to me. Is that replicating a specific 1:1 type? That thing definitely looks good in black.
  2. Looks good! Bring it to the next meeting. I wanna see it in person.
  3. X2. I like the wheels, and the overall look of the car.
  4. That sounds like the "Hot Rod Gray" primer. I think their normal gray primer is still the same.
  5. Rotating, not reciprocating, right?
  6. An RX7 is a 6-cylinder?
  7. Great idea on the baby shoes, and a beautiful model.
  8. And now we have great music from that era, this era, and any eras in between. Problem is, with as much great music we've accumulated over time, we've been cursed with several times as much terrible music.
  9. I don't recall ever seeing one, and the only thing I find on eBay is the Lindberg '97-04 body style Dakota. I'd like a '91-96 regular cab short bed with a V8. There was one that body style with a built 360 in the area where I grew up. The truck was in a couple of the truck magazines at the time (around 2000), and he street raced a buddy of mine in his '93 Mustang coupe. With the Dakota on slicks and the Mustang on street tires and nitrous, it was about as close to a tie as you could get. It was a very quick, cool truck.
  10. I'm pretty sure one of us clicking on that link isn't going to be logged into your account. Click here for the link...
  11. That's cool! I like how the cars and planes are realistic, and the landscaping seems pretty thorough. A lot of architectural models like that that I've seen focus on the building and not the entire scene, so detail on cars and such is lacking.
  12. As an entrant in the IPMS Houston contest this past weekend, I received an email thanking everyone for participating, and it stated they'll post a list of winners and photos of everyone’s entries at the website in a few days. Here's a sneak peek at what placed 2nd in the Commercial class (built by yours truly).
  13. There are a LOT of cool rockabilly songs about cool cars. I might have to find one and get in on this build.
  14. Too cool!
  15. Man, that paint looks fantastic. Great job.
  16. I was mainly asking about current trucks, and kinda forgot about the regionally-marketed muscle cars. There were Twister Mustangs and Torinos (and Twister II Mustangs) in Kansas City, and the original run of GT/CS Mustangs included a small portion marketed in Colorado as "High Country Specials". I actually passed a '68 GT/CS on my way to work this morning.
  17. That little shindig in England?
  18. So here in Texas we have Texas Edition or Lone Star Edition trucks from Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. Do you folks in other states have, say, a Delaware Edition, or Wisconsin Edition, etc vehicles? I think they're just badges adhered to a certain trim level and nothing more (just for marketing) but I wonder what marketing gimmicks are used in other states?
  19. That'd still be $40.

  21. A co-worker of mine has a King Ranch F150. The most remarkable thing about it is that its seats are covered in brown saddle leather, and the inside smells like a tack shop (mmmmmm leather!). It's pretty loaded with gizmos and bells and whistles, and has some King Ranch specific alloy wheels. I think they all come in a two-tone with a limited selection of colors, but I don't know if they're exclusive to the King Ranch line. It's a pretty nice truck, with a 5.4L and 3.73s. I think the King Ranch itself is in south Texas, but I'm not sure. Texas is a big place, and it's nowhere around here, so.... I agree totally about the Harley truck. I never understood the tie-in. I do like the older generation Harley trucks, with the supercharged 5.4L (kinda like a detuned 4-door Lightning), but the Harley junk was always a turn off for me.
  22. I might have to get in on this, as I just bought the new Lindberg Texas DPS Charger, and a Revell snap Impala. I also have a 98 Z28 destined to become a Texas DPS car.
  23. One of the old Revell Mercury Capris has a ski rack and skis too, but it'd be kind of expensive to buy just for the rack, and I don't remember if it's the black box art, silver box art, or both issues.
