  1. Those both look great, Curt. Very clean. Good job!
  2. Has anybody seen a built set of the hinges in the Trumpeter Nova? I guess these would have to be pre-assembled...
  3. Rustoleum will work too, and I've had decent results using Rustoleum over bare plastic. I also use Duplicolor a lot, and have started using Tamiya. It's been years since I used Testor's, as I never had good results with their spray enamels. I haven't tried the newer Testor's sprays.
  4. Looks like the MPC to me.
  5. I've seen those on all sorts of Matchbox cars- I thought they were supposed to be some kind of Torq Thrust or something with a spinner cap (the three 'tangs'). This'n looks good. What kind of primer do you use on the bodies when you do these?
  6. Beautiful Jag! Very cleanly built, and cleanly photographed.
  7. That thing looks great! Wish I could see it in person. Excellent job.
  8. The engine in that kit is a turd. Stick with the Revell F-bodies and you'll be ok.
  9. You can get a Jimmy Flintstone casting that looks pretty much the same as the Bandit piece shown above for ~$10 on eBay, but it'll need a bit of cleanup. Dunno if the Bandit piece is any cleaner or not, as I've not seen one in person.
  10. Ooh I like that a lot. Is that the Star Models belly tanker, maybe? I like how you set up the second shot with the salt photo.
  11. ^^^ What Ed said. Or look at the big scale train stuff for some kind of flour or grain sack.
  12. There are MPC/AMT BFG Radial T/As, but they have lettering on the sides. Plus the ones I have seem pretty small.
  13. That's what I had planned on using. It's even cheaper for me... My dad has about 6 guitars he regularly plays and regularly changes the strings on. I'll get him to start saving them for me.
  14. I completed one right BEFORE the thread started, so... I've got a pile of Fox kits with ideas attached to them, but have been working on other stuff too. I'm sure with the open-endedness of the thread, I'll have something to submit.
  15. What did you use for the rigging? I bought a 1/48 German WWI fighter yesterday (I forget the name), and will have to find something for rigging.
  16. Tony T, if you can find Duplicolor Hot Rod Gray primer up there, it's a good nice dark gray, and by using the old nose oil trick, should do nicely for some SVO gray leather seats.
  17. 100% Been driving 13 years. 4 tickets, at least that many warnings, probably more, 0 accidents.
  18. So you think somebody walked into the cancer research lab and said, "Everybody, stop what you're doing, we have to develop a robot car!" Do you think cancer researchers are educated and trained enough in engineering and electronics to build computer-controlled cars? You think all the research for cancer and robot cars is paid for out of the same grant funding? Really?
  19. I work on them with a bit of all categories, but only seem to finish box stock-ish builds (box stock with minor mods and detailing).
  20. Well it's looking awesome so far!!!!1
  21. I like the orange peel and no orange peel before and after photos. Great job polishing up the paint! Engine and interior look nice so far too. Thanks to whoever mentioned the plug wire to hood clearance issues. I have a couple of the Tamiya Minis, and plan to wire them, so it's good to know to look out for that.
  22. Looks great, Mark!
  23. Its molds have held up nicely then. I've seen much newer kits with much worse mold seams and flash.
