  1. No arguments with the rules whatsoever, BUT.... If a kid is in trouble with mom and dad for a dirty mouth, even if cursing was allowed and regularly practiced here, this site would be ranked about 15,898th on the list of places where he picked it up from.
  2. Mike, if you wanna get rid of one of those Tamiya Cobra R's, let me know.... I have a few SN95s- a Monogram 94 Indy Pace Car, AMT 95 Cobra, Revell 99 Cobra, and one of the Saleen Speedsters that hasn't had any parts stolen yet. If this is an open-ended deal, I'll post progress of any of those here. I'd say they're all back burner projects, but that would be a lie since they're not even on the stove at this point. I plan on doing the 99 as a replica of a friend's black stock 99 Cobra, and the Indy Pace Car will be exactly that, to go along with the 79 I plan on doing eventually. Sure bums me out that only one New Edge car was done. We need a Bullitt, Mach I, Terminator, Cobra R, and GT to go along with that lonely 99 Cobra.
  3. You mean A. Looks like a cool project. I've toyed with the idea of a 2.3 turbo in a 30 coupe, but haven't committed to doing it.
  4. x2, since my post in this thread got deleted too.
  5. That'll be cool!
  6. I'm pretty sure Evergreen makes some rectangular rod (maybe tubing too, I'm not sure) in 2mm x 3mm.
  7. Kinda like turning a forum into a photo album...
  8. How bout Grabber Orange over silver? It reminds me of what an SN95 McLaren M81 would look like. I like it, BTW. Maybe more without the whale tail... I'm partial to spoiler deletes on cars like SN95s, New Edge Mustangs, S197s, 04-06 GTOs...
  9. 1925 or older Model T cowl and grille shell, and no idea about the origins of the cab...
  10. Jason, I like both of those builds, and have a similar project planned with the Saleen kit and a Capri.
  11. I hear Def Leppard when I look at that car. I'm glad it's not the 80s anymore, but I like the model. Looks pretty clean.
  12. I had the logo prior to looking at this thread, but after the first visit it's gone. I still don't see why everyone is bagging on the 'update' and putting things in quotes like that. The site works fine for me. I did a little exploring earlier in the profile section, and found the settings to get the notifications to work. Working great...
  13. I just use 'The Google'. It's not so hard. If it's obscure enough that I can't find a photo or info on the web, then I'd have a hard time finding someone who would be able to identify a wrongly painted or finished part of that model. For some reason I picture a database that the model manufacturer hosts being riddled with problems and rarely working, or not being extensive enough to satisfy the inquiries that sparked this thread. Let the model companies make the models. They don't have to provide your reference too.
  14. If they get paid, they're not slaves, dingus.
  15. Lately the ALF fire trucks have been on clearance too.
  16. Kinda what I was thinking... I use CSC, but I think mine is getting old/weak and will need to be replaced. Haven't had any issues with oven cleaner, but I generally use it to strip chrome, not paint. I also use 91% alcohol to strip Tamiya paint.
  17. Haven't looked that closely in mine, but they're probably parts from the Mustang GT, GT-H, and Bullitt versions of the car, since they share tooling.
  18. I could easily log the hours spent at the bench, but couldn't tell you exactly how much time I spend actually building, because my time is also spent playing around on the computer, searching for reference material, watching tv/movies, and digging through other kits and parts unrelated to the current project. I also tend to get lost in books and magazines if I happen to pick one up while I'm at the bench.
  19. 4-banger car, curbside kit.
  20. I bought that kit with the idea of doing it as an ambulance. I still might, I dunno... Yours looks great.
  21. I like it, but don't quite understand the exhaust on the passenger side.
  22. I wouldn't. I've never tried that specifically, so I'm just speculating here, but since Duplicolor is so hot, I'd be sure to use Duplicolor primer with it to be sure everything works like it's supposed to and you don't craze the plastic.
  23. http://www.ipmsusa.org/MemberServices/EventsCalendar/EventCalendarList.asp
  24. Ahh jeez, it's got a Texas plate. *sigh* Oh the shame...
