  1. Looks tasty. I wanna do mine as a two wheel drive too, so I'll need something for the front suspension. I thought about trying to get ahold of a 73-87 Chevy/GMC van, but my luck I'd get one that's also 4x4.
  2. New people or casual (not every day) viewers are supposed to already know this?
  3. That's cool. What are you using for the front suspension?
  4. I think this'n had big block Ford power. "Corvair" pro-mod driving school car
  5. That turned out really nice. Very cleanly built.
  6. Same here. I almost said 409 on that one, but wasn't sure if 409s ever came with 3x2s. It would've been more difficult if the photos were in black and white, since I used the engine color on a few to make educated guesses on some of the Buick/Olds/Pontiac engines.
  7. Jason, just park it in front of the 1:24 cars so perspective makes it look the same scale. I hope it doesn't come out goofy slab-sided like some of the other recent Revell offerings.
  8. I'm with Jon here. I lost interest in the Greenwood car when I saw the cheezy decals they had for the headlights, and found that the thickness of the covers didn't allow enough space under them to put headlight lenses and reflectors. I don't have a vacuform setup, so that's not an option... I wonder if there's any other way to do it..? Your Vette looks excellent.
  9. Here's one of me and my girl on Halloween.
  10. Here are two pics of me doing what I enjoy. You can tell by the expression on my face in both that I'm having a blast.
  11. Ventilate! I'm aware that ambient air is 78% nitrogen, but it's also around 21% oxygen, which won't be in that bottle. Be careful to avoid creating an oxygen-deficient environment inside the house. Even though the nitrogen isn't toxic, it could displace the oxygen you need to breathe. As far as how good will it be to paint? I have no idea. Seems like as long as there's no moisture or oil, like previously mentioned, I'd think it would be ok. How much does it cost to refill the bottle? A friend of mine used to use bottled nitrogen in his truck for the airbags, and would swap out bottles when needed. I don't know what he was paying though.
  12. Sounds good to me. There are enough different kits out there to support it...
  13. No kidding, Bradley! I had some good luck and had someone on FEP give me some decals to do Bob Fehan's Mac Tools SCCA factory stock SVO, so I'm thinking of doing that one next.
  14. Another stunner, Mark!
  15. They say "a bad day of fishing (or golfing, racing, hunting, whatever...) is better than a good day at work." but I don't think the same idea applies here. A bad car-themed tv show is NOT better than no car-themed tv show at all, in my opinion. Do it right or don't do it...
  16. I got about 5 or 10 minutes into the '62(?) Galaxie episode before I turned it off. They were talking about Galaxie history, and were showing photos as they went along "Galaxie this, Galaxie that, etc.." Problem was, about every third picture they'd show was of 64-65 Chevelles, which are definitely and obviously NOT Galaxies. Anybody else notice that? I decided that if they were gonna let those types of things make it onto the air, I'd be better off not watching it. It's just sloppy production and fact-checking.
  17. You might be able to find some from the Revell Mickey Thompson Challenger I kit, but they're an odd size, so you'd probably have to use the wheels from it too.
  18. For what it's worth: length of the outboard edge of the driver's side head on my 1:1 '91 Mustang's 302: ~19.5" length of the outboard edge of the head on Revell '32 Ford: 19.54mm length of the outboard edge of the head on AMT '67 Mustang: 18.65mm BUT, if you compare the two heads, the "lump" on the ends of the '67 head don't extend to the edge where I was measuring like they do on the '32 head. I couldn't even really see the ends of the head I was measuring on my 1:1 for all the accessories, wires, lines, and poor light, so I don't know if my 1:1s have the same "lumps", and if I was measuring the lumps or not since I was measuring by feel just above the header tubes and below the valve cover. With the engine in the car, I can't measure much else on it...
  19. Good thing there weren't more, you'd need a bigger table! They look good from here... Some close-up shots would be good.
  20. Introducing the all new 1970 Tucker Torpedo!
  21. Not to be confused with the Mustang GT, which had 4.6L SOHC 2-valve engines from '96 through '04. Then in '05 the 4.6 3-valve engines came out with the new body style. It's a shame Revell hasn't done any other New Edge cars... They need to work on that, and do a GT, 01 Bullitt, 03/04 Cobra, and maybe an 03/04 Mach I...
