  1. Cool car, Nick. I like the idea and the overall look. Get some bright lights and a tripod, or something else to set the camera on, and work on your photos a little. Pay no attention to baddskillz. I went and looked, and most of his pics are blurry too.
  2. Good job, I like it.
  3. Let's see... I guess besides models, I'm mostly into 1:1 cars, but don't have the time or money to do much hardcore work on them, so I tinker with my '91 Mustang, drag race it sometimes, cruise it to local shows, or just take it out when the weather is nice, like my girlfriend and I have been doing this weekend. I have a Chevelle in the garage I can't find time or motivation to fix up. I enjoy outdoor stuff, including camping, hiking, the occasional canoe trip, and have recently gotten pretty heavy into field herping (studying reptiles and amphibians). Photography plays into all of these things too. I also enjoy live music, and (used to) know how to play guitar, but I don't play often at all anymore. When I've got time to kill, I enjoy playing XBox, usually Forza Motorsport 3.
  4. I was talkin about the T-5 trans. I have a couple of Turbo Coupes I could borrow one from. I sent you a PM recently about those Stern wheels we talked about. If you could find those, I'd like to pull a mold of them...
  5. I hope you mean Speedometer...
  6. From the Fox 5 article: "Law enforcement sources tell FOX 5 that he was driving to a call for a suspicious package incident nearby and was using a different radio channel than the police officers who were securing the perimeter for the movie." I heard on-lookers on one of the YouTube videos talking like the silver car was supposed to spin out, as a scripted part of the movie.
  7. I thought that might've been your TBird in the pics. Looking good so far. Have I missed an update on the suspension somewhere else?
  8. Every show I've been to has had a "display table" for in-progress stuff, or stuff people plain choose to not enter in the contest.
  9. You could also check with Ed Fluck with Drag City Castings (I think is the name). He sells a lot on http://www.emodelcars.com/
  10. This is looking great so far, and I almost hate to ask, but wouldn't a LeMans type racecar (especially a supercharged one) be running long tube headers? All the work done so far is looking awesome.
  11. Got your PM. Glad the valve covers made it there in good shape. The engine is looking good so far.
  12. That's cool, Bradley. Maybe I oughta try pulling a mold of one too so I'll have correct ones for my own collection.
  13. I get my groceries at Kroger, but none of the ones nearby had it. Went into WalMart with my girlfriend to get something, and as much as I hate that place, they had it so I got some there.
  14. Looking good so far. I need to dig one of mine out to see where to make the cuts. What are you doing with the chassis? If I remember correctly, this one is 4 wheel drive. Is it just going to be a slammer?
  15. But wait, there's more: 1964 Polar Lights 1964 Convertible Polar Lights 2004 Polar Lights 2004 AMT 2005 Polar Lights drift car
  16. The Revell Subaru WRX has a set of those exact wheels with a 5-lug pattern, around 19mm (19" in 1/25, 18" in 1/24).
  17. You're off to a good start. Sounding like it's going to be more of a drag build- am I right? Who made the resin hood that was warped?
  18. Jeez, I hate to hear that, Dave. I'm hoping for the best in your recovery.
  19. Have you checked on the H.A.M.B.?
  20. Oops, brain fart. I've actually never watched Robo Cop or any of the Terminator movies all the way through... Was too busy playing in the woods, or with Hot Wheels when the movies were new, and have never really had much interest in them as a teen or adult.
  21. I think there's a pair in the Johan 59 Rambler wagon that was out a few years ago.
  22. I'm pretty sure that one is a '30 Ford coupe and a '31 Rolls Royce. I have the '30, traded the Rolls off here a couple months ago. Wasn't there a Baywatch truck? I'm picturing a Ranger in my mind, but I could be wrong... Don't forget the Fireball 500 car. There was the MPC Cannonball Run (or sequel) Malibu stock car and ambulance... ...which reminds me of the Rescue 911 ambulance, Huey helicopter, and Taurus police car... ...which reminds me of the Terminator Taurus police car. EDIT: Adding the AMT and PL Ghostbusters Ecto-1 kits. (Are these two different tools? I only have the PL version.) And there was the "New Monkeemobile" Monogram '87 Mustang GT convertible.
  23. Wow! That's looking great so far.
