I’m currently working on this box stock build of the new Moebius/Model King kit. I’m building the “White Mule” version. This is a beautifully-designed and engineered kit. Highly recommended. I hope to wrap this build in the next few days. More build pics here: https://public.fotki.com/fivets/my_model_cars/1965-afx-plymouth-s/

Perfect! Great job. That grille looks SO much better than the kit piece. -

“Molded in the USA.” That explains the difference in the styrene, no? Salvinos JR NASCAR kits are American made and that styrene is very flexible also.

Help: Fujimi gt40 model kit
Matt T. replied to dawgvet's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
In response to the original question posted - Yes, eBay is your best indication of current value on the Fujimi GT40 kits. I think the popularity/demand for these went WAY up after “Ford vs. Ferrari.” (I bought a Fujimi kit four years ago on eBay for $25 + domestic shipping.) It looks like you may have to pay the going price now. Good luck, I hope you and your son find one to build! -
‘65 A/FX Satellite rear floor - carpeted?
Matt T. replied to Matt T.'s topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thank you, everyone, for the interesting discussion, viewpoints, and images. I am going to go the route like the pictures provided: Painted wheelhouses, “carpeted” floor section, and “fiberboard” for the trunk panel/package shelf. I hope to achieve this by using varied shades of Tamiya acrylics. Thanks again! -

Interesting. The Model King kit of the altered wheelbase car states that the early white car had a red interior. -
WWII bar style military tires
Matt T. replied to PHPaul's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Italeri tires look the part. I just measured the wheel opening in my 1/24 “Armed Pickup” (Toyota Land Cruiser) tire and it’s 17mm, or about 17” in 1/25. -

Thanks! Great help. I’m going to go with a darker red carpet than the upholstery, like this factory stock version: -
Awesome job! Beautiful race car. Great photos too. Thumbs up!

Outstanding! It looks real with that backdrop. So nice. I was considering this kit as my next build. How does it build up? Any issues?

Here is the beautifully-engineered and molded Revell SSR in factory touch-up Pacific Blue. Cleared with Duplicolor and polished with cloths and Tamiya Finish compound. A fun build of a unique vehicle! Many more pictures here: https://public.fotki.com/FiveTs/my_model_cars/2006-chevy-ssr/ Thanks for looking.

Beautiful build! A proper phantom too - Looks like it came from the factory that way, and causes a double-take. I love the color choices. -
