Yes, it was. Created for the truck's introduction/auto show circuit. That said, if you get the more recent release in the flat Revell of Germany style box, it has a killer set of Cartograf decals that really make it look great - both inside and out.

I just bought Wylde's 1/25 '84 Silverado grille from George. It's a beautiful piece! Get to the table early and get some of these!

He moves quickly, which is important with Tamiya acrylics, in my experience. He paints the entire gas tank in 23 seconds. Any more time messing around with it will produce what you found - marring, pulling up, etc. If I can't get the coverage I want in about this amount of time, I wait 30-60 minutes and recoat. I have a Revell Hot Wheels IMSA Camaro here. The box is dated 1993 and states "Made in U.S.A." on the side. Hope this helps.
