  1. Here ya go... Pretty subtle difference from the first body, But its just looking right to me. I even like it without chopping the top, gives it more of a 60's custom feeling.
  2. http://www.williamsbrothersmodelproducts.com/ They've got several air racers that I really like! I've been looking at the 4" sectioned body I've done, really liking the look, and will probably use it with an MCG 4"chopped grill.
  3. Heres a mockup of my latest project, "Gold'n Duece". It will be finished in ModelMaster Inca Gold with pearl white interior and roof insert. Tires are from the Revell rat rod kit, Radirs from the T-bolt kit, buick finned drums fom RMCoM. The nailhead is from the '66 Rivi kit. The body has a 2mm section and may get a subtle top chop too (undecided). I've got another body with a 4" section and I'm still thinking about using that one. I'm going for the 60's show car vibe... Frame mods: Notched the rear frame for axle clearance, drilled out larger holes for the airbags (leaving the holes gives me a location point), raised the rear pan to clear the diff, modified the tranny mount and scratched new engine mounts. Heres what I sectioned out... And heres the wedge taken out to accomodate the section... This is the project thats kept me busy for a while now... A 1/32 Air Racer! I haven't built a plane in 25 yrs, but this one really caught my eye... Kind of the hot rod of its day. Its been an interesting project. I'm waiting on mfgrs updated decals to finish it off.
  4. You're right... Its from "Forever"... got myself confused there!
  5. Just finished the "Batman Returns" batmobile... A quck and easy build to add to my collection. Pretty straightforward build except for the wheels. The kit tires just looked too tiny and wobbly... Batmans gotta have some grip on the road! The parts box dubs just happened to fit the wheel openings perfectly! I used the kit caps to keep the bat logo as intended. The chrome mechanicals are washed with clear blue acrylic and I drybrushed a little gold for depth. Metalizer Titanium seats... Tried to pick out some chassis detail... 3 down... 2 to go... Thanks for lookin'... Comments always welcome... I probably can't reply because my home system is down, but I'll check back when I can.
  6. Your mailbox is full, so I couldn't reply there. Yes to both of your questions... I'll make sure we can accomodate you! Give me a call sometime and we can discuss it.
  7. Well, its done! I have to agree with everyone, Revell did an excellent job on this kit! Sure, its got some drawbacks, but its nice to see them put out something similiar to a 3n1 kit again, nicely engineered too! Model Master Ultraviolet lacquer, Kit and Kdog graphix pinstripes. Body mods are the hardtop chop w/curved window moldings (man, did I hack those in the end! ), fadeaway over the dogleg, frenched anntennas and exhaust thru the bumper. Kdog's pinstripes... RMCoM Caddy air cleaner... Of course, I forgot to take pics of the interior before I put it together! Black interior, pearl white inserts, brass wire piping. The dash is body color. Hope you like it! Enjoy... Comments always welcome!
  8. Mmmm, Nice build! That color scheme on that year has always been my favorite!
  9. Kool little truck!
  10. Built Ford Tough! Nice work, I think I remember drooling over pics of the 49 Ford in years past.
  11. Darn, ya beat me to it... I'm trying to finish up a Merc in Ultraviolet, also! I know what you mean about no replies... same with my last workbench post. Very nicely done Merc... Its got that street tough attitude!
  12. They're both absolute beauties! Well done, sir!
  13. Very nicely done! It'll definitely get noticed on the contest tables! I need to try true flames, but I just haven't gotten up the courage yet! I like your sig quote... the more that things change, the more they stay the same!
  14. This build is a nod to my past. I cut my model building teeth on show cars in the late 60's/early 70's. I thought I built 'em all back then, but this is one I missed. Proabaly a good thing, too, since this kit might have made me quit building! The frame and suspension parts were badly warped, needing a lot of fiddling to get this to sit level. The nasty plastic didn't want to soften with liquid glue, so a lot of joints had to be soaked in glue. Major and micro flash everywhere, some of which I didn't see till final paint. Along with vague (non-existent) attach points, this model was a real chore at times! Anyway, Its finished and I'm pretty happy with the final product! Colors are Tamiya pearl white, Model Master flame red lacquer and MM brass enamel. I embellished it a little with gold BMF on the bed (trunk...cooler...?), brass piping and brass buttons on the uphostelry. I was dissappointed that the side panel decal didn't have a white center like the box art, as it kind of gets lost in the red color. Hope you like it... comments always welcome!
  15. Hmmm... OK... See ya...
  16. Great looking concept car! I agree that a tighter fit on the spoiler might help it. I also find that paint changes everything! A dark color might help it to blend better (I'm just guessing that the rear will be blue?)
  17. Just a nod to my past... AMT/Ertl's Vending Machine. Man, this kit is horrid! No positive locating points, flash all over, warped... If I had built this as a kid, I might never have continued building. Now as an adult, I'm just taking a Zen-like approach to it, fixing what needs to be fixed to Get 'er done! Tamiya pearl white, Model Master Flame red, pretty much box stock besides the re-engineering to make things work. New Revell 49 Merc... Its coming together well, polished out the paint (Model Master Ultraviolet pearl) and have most of the other stuff painted. I need to build the engine and interior and I can wrap it up. Enjoy... Comments always welcome!
  18. Great build, just the right amount of detail to bring it to life!
  19. Interesting and creative! I think the nose is a bit too busy, but otherwise this could be a pretty insane ride when you're done! I think a nose peice from an F85 Sabre would look interesting!
  20. Hmmm.... Very Philosophical... Why are we here? Well, Its the one board I haven't been 86'd from! I spend a little time on Spotlight, Traditional R&K and here. Its all about the people and the talent they bring to the board. And the fact that, at least here, you know who you're talking to! (I hate trolls ) I find the boards are a vital part of our hobby nowadays... without them we'd be building in the dark (much like the 80's!)
  21. '64 Galaxie convertible, '07 Mustang GT...
  22. Very, Very Kool stuff! Gotta love the psychedelic marketing approach! I'm guessing the glue bomb cost you more, huh?
  23. Great work! You make the rotary transplant look like it was part of the kit!
  24. Steve H.

    29 pickup

Good lookin' build, you captured the flavor of the 1:1 very well!
  25. Nice build, That color works well on it!
