  1. I've been "straightening" that one out since the kit first came out. I have not given up, as I want to do it as a companion piece to the new "Foose" kit.
  2. I've always liked those Foxes, and yours is great looking, and the model is not too bad either.
  3. Fantastic!!!!
  4. Excellent!!!!
  5. AMT '71 Charger R/T.
  6. I can't wait to see the finished model.
  7. You have two options with those tail lights if you cannot get them out. 1) Cover them with liquid mask 2) Paint them after the car is painted. Your plans look to be workable, as that is how I would go about doing the car. If you are going replica stock, Missing Link Resin offers a beautiful set of '63 Polara wheel covers (same as the '62), if you do not have a set of wheel covers.
  8. I echo what Steve stated. That is one nice build. I have a couple of '60's I have started to restore. My grandfather had a turquoise '60 that I am going to do my hardtop as a tribute to his car.
  9. I love both of them. Nice color combinations and vinyl roof applications.I have several Rivieras in my collection to do.Those are magnificent builds.
  10. Well Done!!
  11. The bumper and Grille came from Missing Link Resin. I Bare Metaled the grills, sprayed them with Flat Black and carefully scraped the paint from the high spots. I have another one for a '72 project I want to do in the future.
  12. I love it!!!
  13. Very nice work!!!
  14. I remember them when they were new, as there was an American Motors dealer not far from my school. The C-P dealer across the street carried many a performance car, and the AMC dealer did well with the performance cars they sold. I have a couple of the kits in my stash, as I want to do both paint schemes. There were a few of them that did not get the paint striping, and many a person got fooled by them, thinking it was a slug. They were quite fast, and an excellent buy for the money.
  15. I have a lot of resin kits in my collection to go with my styrene kits, and may add a few more to it as finances will allow. I have seen some out there with proportion and resin quality issues that I will not ever touch. I have been burnt before buying bad resin castings, and I am not going to be again. Recently, I picked up some of Air Trax' offerings, And I am very happy with them. I have a Motor City '67 Galaxie on the way, and some parts. I missed a few of the Modelhaus offerings since they closed up shop. But as of now, I am not looking for any more kits, as I have much more than I can ever build in a lifetime..
  16. I have the '69 300 Hardtop, and I can say, everything fits very well with just a little cleanup. It looks to me that the AMT '71 Charger Kit will get you most everything to finish it off. You're on your own with the chrome for the bumpers. The rare 'recall" wheels are alumnum, and should be finished accordingly. I love the "Air Trax" kits in my collection. I'll get around to building them someday.
  17. The '62 Nova Wagon Craftsman kit had a separate hood, but no engine, and the '63 Nova SS convertible had a V8 engine, but 6 cylinder engine emblems on the fenders. The '62 Had a 6 cylinder in it, which will also work with a craftsman wagon. I still have the gray wagon, which I added a 327/4-speed to it, which was a very nice resin piece from F&F bought many years ago. I sold off the styrene wagon a couple of years ago. I may do a '65 Drag car, with my remaining "Rat Packer kit. I cannot afford the "Cal Race" kit.
  18. Believe it or not, with all of the hoopla over the "Foose: truck, and your build. I whipped out the red "90's iteration of this kit tonight. I did a lot of work on the body when this kit came out to improve the fit of the doors and the hood. I may just do a side by side build with the "Foose" truck. I have an idea of how I want to approach this one, sort of a "low buck" rectification with a close to stock body. a hopped up Y Block, and some traditional wheels and tires(15"). I am going to use kit parts, and what I have in the parts box for this one. I am leaning towards Red, but Black is interesting too.
  19. Back in the 80's, I sold Chevrolets at one of the largest dealerships in my metropolitan area. As one of the managers, I got my pick of demonstrators, and I had several Camaros from this era. '83 Sport Coupe- Black/ Gray Interior 5.0 V8/Manual Transmission '83 Z28 White/Silver Stripes/ Gray Interior T-Tops 5.0 V8/ Automatic Transmission '84 Z28 Black/Red/Orange/Silver Stripes /Charcoal Interior with Sport Seats, T-Tops, 5.0 H.O./Automatic Transmission '85 Berlinetta - Copper/ Beige Interior, T-Tops, V6/Automatic '85 Z28- Copper/Beige Interior, T-Tops, 5.0/5-Speed Manual Transmission I owned one: 1991 RS Convertible - Teal/Black Harrtz Cloth Top, Black Cloth Interior, 5.0 V8/Automatic Transmission (I have built a model of this one from the AMT Kit, with the All American Resin Transkit. It's still on my shelf. I have never had an AMT '83 or '84 Camaro Kit, just the MPC in 1/25, that I built as a Pace Car, but I do have the Revell 1/16 '83 Z28 that I made into a convertible(what was I thinking?), Revell 1/16 '84 Berlinetta, and '85 IROC Z. which were nice kits, and the Monogram 1/8 Scale '83 Z28 Coupe and a 1/8 Scale '85 IROC Z. I do have Revell '85 IROC Z that I have not built, and an AMT '92 Heritage Edition, also unbuilt. I may have to pick one of these up. I hope that I can get a set of decals in a different color than gold, which while nice looking, is very limited in color combinations.,
  20. That is beautiful!!!!!
  21. That is one handsome car Mike. I have a HRM '61 I have to get off of the bench. I want to do it up in Black, with the Silver Coves Black Top, and Black Interior. It's all mocked up. I just need to lay down the paint. Seeing your build makes me want to get it into the line for paint.
