  1. I have used just about every "chrome:" for models in over 50 years of building model cars, and everything depends on what you are 'chroming', and the desired finish. If I am going to re-chrome say a bumper, or a set of wheels, I would send them out to a commercial chrome service. Motolow pens are excellent for touching up edges, and I have used the 2mm pen with great success on small parts of old AMT bumpers from the '60's, as they are not as brilliant as say a Trumpeter chromed bumper. Your finish has to be clean, dry, and smooth, an you cannot handle it for several hours. I bought the three tips available, but only used the 2mm tip so far, as I will still use Bare Metal Foil, Alcad, and Spaz Stix for different applications, as I have a lot of the product to use up. I like what I see so far with the Motolow pens, but for me, the jury is still out.
  2. I do not see how anyone will do any business with him. The price from you is for an entire transkit, and is quite reasonable, and the quality is good. If and when I want a product offered by your company, I will only deal with you. I would not want it with the "Conquista" mouldings any way. Also, just adding those is not 15% of the work.
  3. I can't wait 'til the next episode.
  4. Dan, I plan to do a '67 Tempest Safari to bookend with my other wagon models.I like where you are going with the '65 Tempest wagon. At one of our club meeting, one of our club members brought a beautiful resin cast '65 Tempest with the correct grille. Fortunately, the Model Car garage '67 Pontiac GTO Photoetch set includes the grille and emblems that can work on a '67 Tempest wagon. When I did my '67 Chevelle Concours Estate, lining up the front clip from the '67 to the '66 body was slightly problematic, but it can be done.
  5. I saw the build in person, and while the subject matter does not do anything for me, the build was very nice!!! Good seeing you yesterday Al, anfd I hope to see more of your work.
  6. Very nice!!!
  7. Nice work!!!!
  8. Looks to me like the hard work paid off Mitch. Go get 'em!!!!
  9. I can't wait to see what Clearly Scale does for the Hellcat. The other products look top notch.
  10. Looks like a labor of love to me. Great job!!!
  11. That is a sweet build!
  12. Mike and I are not in an argument over this one. The car in the photo is a 2016 Challenger SRT392. In another post, I stated that I wished that Revell would do a kit of the Hellcat. Seeing the SRT392, as well as the 392 Plus Scatpack Shaker. I got my info from the Dodge website, using the vehicle configurator. Any of these will do. Even the forthcoming 2018 Demon. I just would like a full detail kit with the body and interior updates from the previous factory refresh. Mike's build will be whatever he chooses it to be, and it will be brilliantly executed. I only brought up Sam's SRT, as I love the car, and that is how I am going to do my build.
  13. Looks like a Hellcat to me. That is a center opening scoop on the Challenger.
  14. Great minds do think alike. The difference is that you get things done. I am having modelers block at the moment.
  15. Dang Mike! What are you doing to me? I just picked up one of those last Saturday ay our club meeting. I plan to do mine in Black, like the NCIS-LA car that L.L. Cool-J's character drives. I think he's driving a Hellcat now. I have not seen the show this season. I love those Challengers.
  16. You re very welcome. I'm sure that we can work a little something something out!!!!
  17. That's a nice one!
  18. Pretty!!!!!!
  19. Looks good to me!!!
  20. You are a man after my heart with those!!!!
  21. If it were me, I would keep the '72 MPC body intact, and install the guts from the much better detailed AMT '71 Charger. I buy those kits every chance I get, as I have used them for several projects. I did a '73 Road Runner doing this, and I was very happy with the result.
  22. The AMT '62 Thunderbird Sports Roadster has a set of Kelsey Hayes wire wheels that you need. The kit only has 4 though.
  23. That is so nice! I really like that you corrected the roofline on that one.I have a '65 Craftsman that I may open up to do it as a SS with a 327/365. I have an idea of where I will go on this one.
