  1. Sweet!!!!!!
  2. Absolutely beautiful!!!!!
  3. Excellent work, Randy!!!!
  4. I recently did some work on one of these. Nothing too radical. Just some period touches. I hope to take some pictures this weekend.
  5. The interior work is very nice. I only wish that JoHan had scribed some more detail into that interior, as the backs of the seats look like a blob. I have a '71 Eldorado that I am restoring, and I made the decision to cut the seats apart to add needed detail. Unfortunately, that move put the model back in the box for the foreseeable future. That said, your interior is gorgeous, and my model is still in the box!
  6. Very Nice!!!!
  7. That one could result into a wild looking ride. I have one of the '64 El Caminos on my build list. When I bought my kit, it was supposed to be a new, unbuilt kit, but I found that the previous owner brush painted the Westcraft Boat poorly, and stuck it back in the box. Fortunately, the person I bought it from made good on the discrepancy to my satisfaction, and I was able to get a resin copy of the Westcraft for my model. I may build a small trailer for it, instead of mounting it on the bed. The painted Westcraft boat went to a friend in our club.
  8. That is one beautiful model. I have fond memories of that car. At a race at Acquasco, Md in the '70's, Dyno Don was about to race "Da grump" when his drive line locked up after the initial burnout. Unfortunately the car could not continue, and we pushed the car up on the trailer. Having a pit pass has its advantages.
  9. Excellent!!!!
  10. Niiiiiice!!!!
  11. Very nice!!!!
  12. I can't ask for anything more! Outstanding concept.
  13. Both are very nice!!!!!
  14. Thanks for posting this shot. It lets me know what I am in for if I decide to correct the body, Funny thing though, 99% of the people who will buy this kit could not care less, and 99% of the 1% will not bother to fix the sides of the car. When I built my '67 Fairlane gt, I cut the lower body sculpture into the car. Funny, AMT included the sculpture on the '66 Fairlane GT annual, and completely left it off of the '67. It made all the difference in the world to me, and it was not too difficult to do.
  15. I like that one. I have a couple of those to deal with myself. One is a Turquoise Promo, which is my favorite color on that car, and one is painted silver, which I am going to strip and re-do. I have not made the decision, and I have several projects ahead of them. Yours is a beauty!
  16. I placed my order before Chuck's post. I am a little miffed about the red styrene, but I can work around it. I have a couple of JoHan Torino bodies to work with, as I want to do a detailed '72 Gran Torino Sport. I wonder who will do a '73 conversion? The front end with the exception of the grille will work. Once I get mine, I'll see what the differences are between the two.
  17. Christian, I appreciate the comments made about my builds. Personally, I like this series of Thunderbird. My uncle had a White '70 with a Black Vinyl Roof and Interior, and one of my Dad's friends had a Dark Green '71 Landau. I liked the kit, but I wish that AMT had seen fit to do an accurate engine with an automatic transmission. When I built a '68, which is based on the same tooling, I adapted the engine from the AMT '66 Fairlane GTA, which had a C6 transmission. I have four of these kits, Two AMT Motor CIty Stocker '70's, an original '71 "Bird of Paradise" kit, and one of the Model King kits, so I am not in the market for them. However, I would love to get one of The Modelhaus Resin '67 4 door to do a build on though.
  18. Thanks Charlie. I appreciate the comments. I cannot wait to see your build.
  19. Outstanding!
  20. Fantastic!!!!!
