  1. Works for me!!!
  2. Very Nice Tommy!!!!!
  3. Go get 'em, Steve. You are so right about the mould lines on that one. I know you will do this one justice. On my convertible, I had to re-shape the fenders and upper mouldings just to get them to look right. At this point, I want to put it together, but I am not sure as to how I am going to do it. I may do it as a period "Day 2" car, with a few minor alterations to "personalize" it, like my Dad and uncles did in the early '60's. I'll be following this one.
  4. Excellent build of a pretty car. I have always liked the '56 Ford.
  5. Excellent work!!!!
  6. Ron, out of curiosity, what wheels would you go with? Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I'll keep all that in mind for the rest of the Continentals I have lined up next. Everything depends on the look you are going for. I would try to find a set of Factory Stock wheel covers, or period wire or mags. After I built my '67 Lincoln sedan, there was a nice set of wire wheels, with the Lincoln crest in the center cap, which is going to go on one of my future Lincoln projects. Remember, no matter what anyone else says, it's your model, and it has to look good to you. The rest of us is gravy.
  7. Nice and subtle!!!!
  8. Very nice!!!!
  9. I like the White on this one, but personally, I would change out the wheels. . My next Suicide door Lincoln is going to be White too, just like the one my Dad had.
  10. I bought a set of "Red Alert"decals to do that famous Chevelle Race Car. They look pretty good on the sheet. I'll let you know how they go on the car.
  11. Saturday night, I started work on my uncle's promos, and surprisingly, they all cleaned up very nice, with no scratches. I decided to do a change of plan to get them back to my uncle as soon as possible. I am going to refinish them as the promos he got. No extra chrome trim, and no repainting. I have to re-do the chrome, so I have some Spaz Stix, which I used before with good results. I have to prepare the chromed pieces, hopefully this week. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
  12. That is very nice. Back in the day, I built a '67 Convertible with Testor's Transparent Green. Needless to say, it was not pretty. I have another kit for a do over. Your build might make me get the old girl out.
  13. Very Nice!!!!
  14. Looks good to me!!!!
  15. Since this was something of my doing, I can say that while I would have welcomed Revell kitting this, I took great satisfaction in creating this model. Funny, I still have not built a sedan, and I have three unbuilt ones in the collection.
  16. The wheels that are on the 1960 Buick are Modelhaus '57 Buick Borrani wire wheels, with the center caps detailed, mounted on Satco Firestone Deluxe Champion wide whites, which are also available from The Modelhaus . Iironically, I was in the process of painting this model when I received the news of Dad's death. Finishing it was very therapeutic, and I intend to never let this one go.
  17. The three sets of "Mag Look" wheelcovers were different between the manufacturers in the one-to-one world, in that the spoke shape and depth were different, as well as the centers. I did quite a lot of research on this matter, and I found that the wheelcovers in the Revell '65 Chevrolet Chevelle Z16 will work on the Chevrolet products from 1965 through 68, which had these covers as an option. The wheelcovers in the Lindberg '66 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 are wrong for Chevrolets, but will be accurate for 1968 Shelby GT350 and 500 Mustangs, and 1966-1968 Plymouths and Dodges. The wheelcover I used was from Missing Link Resin, which were originally from a MPC Jeepster, which I modified the centers by removing the lip, and giving it a very slight concave and were cut down to fit the Mobieus' kit Steelies. I used the same cover on a '69 XL Convertible I did a few years back Yes I tend to "count rivets", but it is your model. The others can be used if that is your choice, as they are very close.
  18. They are not done better than that one. Excellent!!!!
  19. Excellent example of a hard working truck!!!!!
  20. Very nice build!!! I really like the color combination. I have the same model, and I am having a dilemma with mine. I am either going to shorten it to a 6 1/2 foot bed F150, or modify the bed into an F250. I started with a built-up, that I cleaned up, but put aside to build one of the Mobieus' '69's.
