  1. Nick- I just might add my Duster in your TV/Movie build-off i already have my "Vanishing Point" Challenger in there i'll add the Duster as well. Khart- I have plans on making the paddle im also building Wooderson's Chevelle from an old Monogram kit which im still working on little by little i need to order a P/E kit for it before long i'll wind up building all the cars from "Dazed And Confused" .
  2. Heres another project thats in the works i'd got a complete AMT 71 Duster from member disabled modeler which im gonna use as a donor the hard part of this project is finding a MPC 73 or 74 Duster body shell. I know they have a nice resin body from MCW but its pretty steep i'll just keep looking until i'd find one but for now i can start with the frame. Heres the car im replicating
  3. I'd just got a AMT 71 Plymouth Duster and i would like to convert it into a 73 Duster i know Dencon Resins makes a conversion kit will this conversion work for this kit. Any other ideas or suggestions would help. Heres the pic of the car im replicating.
  4. UMC- I'd just checked out your website they have perfect shots of the car but the pics are too small to even take a closer look.
  5. I'd just got a AMT 71 Duster in the mail today from member disabled modeler. Thanks for the kit, Mark.
  6. Kevin- Nice Monte she has plenty of potential my mom had an 83 just like yours except it was Champange Tan with a brown vinyl top and a 305 ci engine under ther hood and boy she was a screamer with that 305 ci and a TH-350 tranny out of a 69 Chevelle but she got totaled but used the engine in a 85 S-10 Blazer.
  7. My daily driver is a 2000 Honda Accord Ex Sedan with 68,000 miles on it im the second owner its nothing much. I'll have pics of her later on.
  8. What kind of paint is it maybe i can help out this situation. I can narrow down name brands for you this ougha help. Krylon- Krylon Crystal Clear Valspar- Valspar Clear Gloss Colorplace(Wal-Mart)- Colorplace Clear Gloss Let me know if this works.
  9. Walter- You can try Wal-Mart,Michaels,Hobby Lobby,Home Depot & Lowes you have one of those stores in your area. The best online places i'd find thats cheap is Model Expo & Squadron. I always get my spray cans from Lowes they have a nice variety and all kinds of colors to choose from cant go wrong for $3.44 a can its Valspar Enamel paints. You have a Harbor Freight in your area you can check theyre too for Alligator Clips,Clamps,Rosin Core Solder. PM me for more places you can look for i could go all day long to help a fellow modeler out.
  10. The best Silver i'd tried so far is Valspar Silver Metallic #65052 which can be found at Lowes for $3.44 a can.Metalizers are also good just like Mike suggested.
  11. Im building mines before it got shot up it looks nicer. One thing i'd noticed about that car it had a fake blower which sucked so im adding a real one to mines which should of been done to the movie car. Next up im looking to build Packard Walsh's Vette but for now im just gathering up the pieces. One thing i'd noticed i couldnt get a good shot of the license plate on Packard's Vette.
  12. Heres another one of the cars from "The Wraith" which didnt last too long in the movie im building this one before it got blown up. I'd been working on this build for the last 3 years so i'd wanted to show everyone this project. What ya'll think.
  13. I'd just wanted to show everyone what i'd been up to. Heres a little something im working on little by little. Heres the pic of the car im replicating.
  14. I'd went over to Harbor Freight and bought a pack of Electrical Heat Shrink Tubing, two packs of aligator clips, a white paint marker & a magnet. And made a trip to Sears and bought a 8 piece Craftsman combination wrench set & a 3/8 inch drive extension. Custom Hearse- The Wraith, eh i have that same movie altough its a 80's movie its still pretty decent im looking to build a few of those cars from that movie especially the Vette.
  15. Mack- If all else fails you can try either 91% Isopropyl Alcohol or DOT 3 Brake Fluid let me know if that works.
  16. The only kit that i got for Christmas is a AMT 55 Chevy Nomad. I got a $30.00 gift card from Sears, a LSU zipup hoodie, clothes & $50.00 in cash.
  17. This project had an unfournate accident back in March of 2009 thank goodness the body was still in great shape the only thing that needed replacement was the windshield frame. The kits frame was toast so i'd came up with an idea by using a Revell 49 Merc frame, floor pan & interior it required a lot of cutting & trimming to fit this beast.
  18. I'd finally found the color i'd wanted the GSX i did have it painted Alpine Green but it wasnt working for me so its painted with Model Master Turquoise Metallic. Im letting the paint cure and will be adding the black GSX stripes for that factory look i know that the GSX's were offered in Apollo White & Saturn Yellow but i wanted to try something different. What ya'll think.
  19. Heres the pics of the two 57 Corvettes i'd picked up from the club meeting on Monday night.
  20. I'd just picked up two AMT 57 Corvette "Gasser" kits from the club meeting tonight they need a lot of work but i see potential i'll have some pics of them tomorrow i'll be looking for parts for these kits. I gave the Tamiya US Jeep Willys with trailer thats a 1:35 scale to a club member he was happy with and i was happy with the 57 Vettes.
  21. I'd picked up a Revell 67 Corvette Roadster & a Tamiya US Willys Jeep 4X4 Truck with Trailer at the thrift store for 6 bucks for both kits. The jeep is a 1:35 scale which im giving away to a fellow club member thats into Military related builds. Im still deciding on if im gonna build the Vette or use it for parts which is a complete glue bomb but worth rebuilding.
  22. Ernie- I'd sent you a e-mail on the decals.
  23. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Ernie. Thats some cool decals you have i would like to try the sets you have posted e-mail me at lsufan70072@hotmail.com for further details. I hope you feel fine this Christmas holiday.
  24. Heres another one of my long lost builds thats been stashed away for a year. I had this one in the Under Glass section built as a 68 GTO but some Testors paint thinner spilled on the roof literally eating the paint so i'd stripped the Gold paint that was on there and primered the body its been sitting on the shelf since until about two weeks ago i'd came up with a idea of building a high school car from the late 70's early 80's but building my version of it. Its gonna be painted Bright Red with black or white interior, Cragar S/S wheels, slightly jacked up in the rear. What ya'll think of this idea.
  25. Eelco- Can i join the fun i have a Revell 69 Pontiac GTO that i want to enter. The GTO is gonna be known as "The High School Car". Heres what im working with it. All of the pieces are in primer will that work.
