  1. Yes, Clear enamel can be used too....................
  2. Greg, if Revell was to re release the Porsche , I would build it again very close to the one I had back I guess about 1968. It was a good kit . I just don't understand some of the "Timid " builders we have here .........................
  3. Congratulations on the win Greg ! Oh, the "Bearded guy " is Jerry Frazier of Midnight Modelers in Fredricksburg Virginia . Jerry an I go way back as he restores older Chevrolets ..........
  4. 3rd Place on the 1941 Chevrolet ....................... musta been I P M S . Hey, that's a grand national build !
  5. Casey, REALLY ? Muh friend Alan ??? Gee, I know if he's on the war path, it's gonna look EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!!
  6. Considering the fact that Jimmy Flintstone has wholesale ties, I bet he sells every one he casts . I have several of his bodies and considering the over all quality and the price , , I certainly couldn't say anything really bad bout him .
  7. Craig, I'm with ya on any of you're choices !
  8. I'd take that ole Monogram jus for the way kwell tires !
  9. Well, that's a unique way to recycle . You might wish to check out the gorgeous art prints that AMT used on their 1968 boxes ...............
  10. Anne, I'm in the diorama business. I've never seen a scale grass seed . I generally use a mixture of Rail road items , finely sifted dirt, sand , and some textured papers .
  11. I noticed a "Bondo " deal on the rear lower quarter . Very interesting as we all know , most Ford's of that era usually rusted out in that same vicinity unless you lived in say Dallas Texas ....... Ya done good .
  12. Truth be told , I never ever saw this kit ever released as a stock car. I saw a NASCAR version . As everyone else has said , I think you managed a great build out of it .
  13. I'm still hearing Recardo Montilbaun's voice dubbed over the "Corinthian Leather seats "....................... Gee, I wanna go to Fantasy island too! Of course the one I SHALL NEVER EVER FORGIVE , or FORGET is the 1979 Toyota commercial ; "America , YOU asked for it and YOU GOT IT , TOYOTA "! Yeah really ? Hey folks , I was very satisfied with my 1969 Econoline E-300 LWB Van 3spd , positraction , 240 six cylinder beast . I'd gotten it in a Sherrifs auction in Crown Point Indiana for a mere 300.00. it had woopdie do swivel seats , a heater , a WORKING cigarette lighter , Shaggy carpet and one of muh DELUXE Drink holders on da Mota cover . Where ya gonna put yer swivel seats in a Toyota anyway ???? HUH ?
  14. Terry, I'll be happy to put a word in for you !
  15. Now if they could add a 60 Lincoln , a 59 Mercury, a 59 Pontiac , 58 Ford ..................
  16. I've been doing my own decals for just this past year . Since I primarily do dioramas , My needs will differ as say a NASCAR. I have had GREAT success with a Kodak Bubble jet printer and a downloadable Document program known as Libre . The Libre program has many type fonts and can be had in Standard Black or "colored " depending upon you're tastes . One can also do a "High light " block in a word too. Putting photos from you're computer is as simple as selecting the pictures you want and then "Pasting" the same into the Libre program .
  17. Looks to be a great asset to the Heavy truck followers !
  18. I know I would buy any Medium or Light duty truck . As for the heavy Duty stuff as in Road tractors ............... uh maybe not . First, SPACE to display a finished model . Secondly, PRICE !
  19. Very fitting color for that car. . You never see these cars being modeled anymore . I used to work on them when they were new and I always kind of wanted one of the 66 0r 67 models .
  20. Tim, from the looks of the test shot , probably not hard at all. Casey, I too would love to have a few sets of the "Mag style " covers in scale . I run a set of the same wheel covers on my 1978 F-100 stepside .
  21. Thank You Andrew . Yes, Mr. Winfield is indeed a truly talented individual . I think most of my admiration for him is because he's the same "Real " person on the street as people describe him , plus he's self taught !
  22. Mike , seriously, Classic metal works is never going to be one of the "Mints " . However , with that said , they actually manufacture a decent product and they're a GREAT value for the dollar . I have several of the Classic metal Works cars as some subjects , ie 1941 Chevrolet Convertible is well done and looks nice built from a kit .
  23. In addition to what both Dave and Junior mentioned , Let me pass on a tip I learned years ago . In the event you decide to do a car in a Vibrant White , ALWAYS undercoat it with a coat of Silver underneath . The end result WILL enhance White paint ................
  24. I think I saw this on the "OTHER" model magazine forum. Great workmanship !
  25. Daniel is about two hours east of me . The weather is the same here . Arthritis suffers, uh have the menthol rub handy ....................
