  1. Lee, this a most unique project . Thanks for sharing it with us too.
  2. Clyde , I would say you're off to a possible new part time career .
  3. BY ALL MEANS YOU CAN! I bought a series of spools that the wire is used to re build transformers . The Gold wire is the coarsest , followed by Red , then a Green. This wire can take acrylic paint to color it in another color . Generally, I'll use the Green wire colored Black for spark plugs , Red for Battery cables and the Gold for fuel and Brake lines .
  4. That's correct , having a light would have made that bed a 70 model ....................
  5. I see pleasing diorama material........................
  6. I'll have to pass this to my son. He's the Star wars fan .
  7. Well, it certainly adds visual impact !
  8. You're garage reminds me of some of the off the wall stuff I do ...............
  9. That color combination you chose was actually a popular one down in the Dallas Metro area . I saw several as those trucks were assembled in the Arlington Texas plant . Nice to see a scale rendition !
  10. I've built three of these trucks . Marcos, thank you for showing me as well as the rest of us what a complete out of box build even looks like !
  11. This is certainly an ambitious project !
  12. Anne, I seriously doubt it . Shoot , I generally use the least expensive Brake fluid I can buy . For me , it works as good as any of the cleaners and when you have embedded paint in a finly grained area like I saw , just do as Charlie said to do, PRIME IT THOUROUGHLY !
  13. On the Roll Back, I know ya do, I designed them sent them to ya an neva heard another woid ! Nick, on this build, the G M C , ya done good son. I would have never thought you of all the people on this forum that has learned so much in a small span time .
  14. I've heard several varying reports of the Linburg/ Pyro Triumph GT. It's not Linburg's fault as they simply bought that "OLD " tool as well as I M C's OLD TOOLS along with every other extinct manufacturer out there . The problem is the Younger builders never knew of these kits back when . They have this notion that the current manufacturer did it on purpose for what ever reason . The same can be said of a reissued old "Annual " with molded chassis details . Now in some defense of Revel, I have done many of their kits , including those "Multi-Piece bodies ". I did the 59 Ford Sunliner Retractable hard top several years ago. Revell Germany had just re released it in the original art work box, molded in bright Green . Yes, there was a small amount of "Flash ". I'm not surprised given the age of this kit and as many times as it's been re issued over the years too. I had to really "WORK " the hinge mechanisms to make my model have an operating top . However, the "Thumbnail at the bottom will show you that with A LOT OF CARE, decent results aren't out of the question. The Revel Austin Healey is another one of those old 1950's kits . Johnny, a member here traded me this one a while ago. This kit too, was a re-pop of the original art work , circa , 1958. Molded in a warm White , I actually did a step by step build of this kit for his forum . I had to clamp joints in using some small "Bar clamps " overnight on a couple of occasions . There weren't any "REAL " surprises except the hood won't clear a built six cylinder engine though . But , I remember the AMT 1959 El Camino having the exact same issue too.............. All in all, probably the hardest kits revel did with fitment issues would have included the 1955 Lincoln Futura as the trunk didn't really line up on the quarter panels too well. The Pontiac Club de Mer had some issues along the sides as well as the 1957 Cadillac El Dorado Broham HT . Point is though, they're fixable with some careful finessing . In comparing ANY Early Revel kit to ANY IMC/ TESTORS/ UNION / LINBURG issued kit , humph, I'll be happy to do a Revell kit .
  15. I have a couple of kits from the old Revell days . Problem is , I can NO LONGER post pictures on this forum . Seems Up dates only show as a word link , Dave , Casey, anyone ?
  16. Lazlow, the cargo door has to be opened by you . I've done a couple of them over the years and it's not hard . Trying to re create a sliding mechanism.............................., uh I'll get back to ya on that !
  17. Bob, I'll P- M Junior at his forum ..................
  18. Unless you have a fancy cell phone , you really can't utilize this . I'm not investing in a cell phone outside of a simple one to make phone calls . People that want to reach me can P- M here or e-mail or call the office ...............
  19. James , this build is certainly not something I would have expected from you . Looks fine ! I hope to see it up close provided I can ever make a RAMS meeting too.
  20. Bob , pictures like you're are an invaluable tool to both modelers and people in this subject can find useful ..................
  21. What a wonderful idea !
  22. Is it me or has this topic become so distorted , and perverted that no one short of a Klingon might recognize this place any more ?
  23. Smokey, I thought that AMT did a decent job on the 58 Impala and the 59 Elcamino . You should also look at the Monogram, now Revell 1965 Impala Convertible , it too had a 409.
  24. Hummmmmmmmmmm, that requires "THOUGHT " !
  25. O K Karaoke then !
