  1. As everyone has already said, OUTSTANDING , considering the age and the origin of this kit which has already been mentioned , it's an old Pyro tool. Actually, I have never seen this kit built . I have over time built two of the Monogram Cord 812 kits . The proportions on the Monogram seemed to be right as I actually used to work on a real Cord for a customer here several years back. He sold the car at auction . I really miss riding in it too !
  2. My Kodak scanner/ printer ran about 80.00 at wal worl. As for a great downloadable program to do art work with , try Libre .
  3. Actually, it will look great . Silver makes White really stand out . Yes, because Silver is considered a "Cold " color , it will appear on the cold side . I have shot Silver under a Refrigerator White on several occasions with good results ............
  4. Somebody PLEASE Show this to Lyle Willits . PLEASE !
  5. Actually, I had high hopes for getting the kit . I was going to do a little changing around an build a car I had once . I had an 87 briefly. Yeah, it was a clapped out , starting to rust ,. piece of junk begging to find a junk yard . Still.............. at the price of current kits , I have to make choices based upon what photos are posted here .................
  6. I wonder if Moebius has heard about Revell's 1990 Mustang fiasco yet ? Now here's an opportunity to salvage a botched plan !
  7. I want some CLEAN , CLEAR shots of this kit for I say or sign a thing !
  8. I had a very LONG talk with Jeff in North Carolina back in 2008 about this VERY SAME subject . At that time , he personally PROMISED me , that he was an above board character and that deliveries were to be timely. He wanted me to do a couple of masters for him , but I told him then, I was too busy to do what he wanted done . I mean, hey, I can deliver , so what is the deal ? When I'm on the hook for parts , I get on the dang phone an let a customer know whats going down, how hard is that ?
  9. FINE JOB young man...................... keep up the GOOD work !
  10. YEP YEP YEP ................................. !
  11. Ron, this build of you're should certainly convince the "Hard Heads " at Revell to justify the cost of re visiting a ranchero kit .
  12. I'd like to salute all who were in the service , regardless of the draft or what war !
  13. This diorama has all of the elements need to make for a realistic setting . Find the post I made in this topic : "Essentials to a Good Diorama " Great job !
  14. The issue I see in most dioramas is one , a scene that to me is totally devoid of any dust, dirt and environment . FEW dioramas here have that element . Now I'm not going to go out an name specific builders who actually know what I'm referring to as most here are already familiar with them . The other issue is having Period equipment for the building . As it's already been mentioned , a Modern car in a "Vintage " setting looks way off kilter .
  15. I made this Stock Willys several years back.................
  16. Seems to me that is too close to the Street Rod version they already have . If Revell REALLY wants me to part with 30.00 on what I consider to be perhaps a 18.00 dollar kit , give me the option of a COMPLETELY stock Willys Americoupe .
  17. I have a better idea , DON'T USE EVIL BAY, KRAK LIST or FACELESS BOOK ....................... jus see whats here instead !
  18. Casey, you make a great point...................
  19. Definitely one of a kind considerin ...................................
  20. Hey, another GREAT DIORAMA- waiting to happen !
  21. First, I looked at OTHER forums, GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I then went and shot paint on a customer job, answered the phone , ordered dinner for the family , looked to see about a returned part, checked on a shipment and really didn't miss the place too much , why do you ask ?
  22. I'm related to Jefferson Davis , former president of the Confederate States of America . I don't run around as most do still celebrating a war that ended here years ago I was the photographer for the Book , Check the Oil by Scott Anderson , 1983
  23. It's missing something important . I have to think about what it is and get back to you .....................
  24. James, you soooooooooooooo Funny !
  25. I had one , with a four cylinder- 5spd manual . That car was one I should have never bought . Not enough head room, very hard to get parts for and the quality was ......................
