  1. I think that on the whole Round2 is doing a great job, but I also have to utter a slight complaint about the molding their kits in color, but I guess that this is a needed concession to those that would only buy a model to put together strictly out of the box without any extra painting at all. I also would like to put in my wishes that they could do more kits like the Starliner, they missed the boat on the '55 Cameo, as this "series" has all of the pieces available to make a great 2 in 1 kit. While I'm at it, since they are digging out all of the great old molds, why not give us a re-release of the original Ala Kart/'29 model A Roadster kit?
  2. I got to go with the crowd on this one, just has that real look, buuuuttt, that's not to say that it couldn't be a "real" model!
  3. Thanks for the updates, I was going to ask about that "Crushed Cars" release. Isn't it Lindberg that plans on releasing the "tanker" trailer? I am looking forward to picking up one to build a Bordens milk tanker for my daughter, she collects "Elsie the Cow" things & has two sets of decals for a 1/25 scale tanker truck. it will go great withe her Bordens milk delivery truck.
  4. Had to go real this time, I think most are assuming that this is the Barney Oldfield racer of old I'm not going to say why I think it isn't but the Detroit modelers might know more about it than us Left coasters
  5. I see that I am not the only one that is going against the majority, but I think that there is something about the grille that just looks model (like not being able to see through it).
  6. The votes runnin' close on this one Harry, but I think I'll go with model. P.S. I think that you were shut out on that last one, but no one would admit to hittin' the wrong box the first time they voted (oops, the only time they voted).
  7. Ever thought about a career in the police ? You might even outshine the great Adrian Monk. LOL
  8. Could it be the backspace on the wheels? I.E. the depth of the tire in the rear wheel opening.
  9. It just seems to scream REAL.
  10. I have been trying to strip a body that was done with Tamiya spray, & nothing has worked yet, I was told about the 91 percent alcohol, but can't find it.. I was told by a pharmacist to try denatured alcohol, has any one tried this, I know it will take off just about anything, but haven't tried it on plastic, I kinda would like to still have a body left after getting the paint of ya know. LOL Thanks for the replies, Del. What I need to know is where do you find this stuff?
  11. Your reply to this "question?", reminds me of a somewhat similar situation, when my wife & I were first married I was quite proud when I heard her refer to me as a "model Husband" until I looked up the definition of "Model" it was, "model: a small cheap copy of the real thing". Oh by the way I voted model.
  12. Top row would be 1,8,4,3, second row 6,5,7,2, looking from the front of the mag, reading left to right. Nice job so far.
  13. Model, jus' cuz' ti looks the part
  14. Been there done that! Still have a nasty scar in the left thumb area of my palm, did you know that an 11 blade is long enough to go in the bottom of your hand and come out the top? I guess it's all bout the force behind the cut that counts. By the way, you got off easy, in '77 when I did mine it was $1,000 just for the emergency room, the micro surgeon to redo the severed nerves was 2k & the surgery room went upwards of 5k. Thank God for the wifes good insurance that covered 100 percent of any accidental injury. If only we could still get that kind of coverage.
  15. From what I can see/understand, this kit represents the Black Widow as it was SHIPPED, not as it was after it was prepped by separate customers such as SEDCO, I may be wrong in this but we all know what happens when we ass-u-me something.
  16. look at the thread on the new Lindberg '61 Impalas, it will explain any questions about the Cutlass release, it IS alive & well, THANK YOU Anthony Rios.
  17. I just have to say model this time, something about that windscreen's thickness.
  18. Must have had a real bright scale redneck, to shoot at the gas filler.
  19. My daughter is into "Breyer" horses, & I have picked up three of these kits over the years, & only have one that has been started. I could be off, but I don't think that this kit is 1/20th scale, as in 1/25th scale they would stand much taller than a 1/25th scale auto, a Clydesdale horse is about 6 ft. tall at the shoulders, & weighs upward of 1200 lbs.
  20. From the point of view that I have, it appears that the chassis used is from the AMT "Wagon Rod" release, it used a HIGHLY modified '39 Chevy Sedan Delivery body, with contemporary chassis mods.
  21. So, what you are saying is that we were all right, since this is a FULL SIZE MODEL of the real thing. (well I thought it made sense to me)
  22. You can just send that '32 @ the P.O. to me, that will solve the problem very quickly!
  23. Like he said! (will be 36 years in November, all to the same woman)
  24. I know that another user posted 1/6th scale, but the ad shows that the box has 1/4 scale on it.
