  1. You could use one as fill on a rough road in a diorama, just have part of the roof sticking out of a mud puddle. Or mount it on a thin piano wire as if it were flying off the road above, just about to land on the roof of the garage below, that would be pretty realistic also.
  2. Actually, it would be a 265, but other than the lack of side mount bolt holes in the block it would appear virtually the same as all of the small block Chevy engines regardless of cubic inch displacement are the same, from the little 262 that came out in the 76 Monzas to the 400 that was in the early 70s big cars & trucks.
  3. I really have to say that this one is a model, there is something about the paint around the front door/wheelwell that looks like a model to me.
  4. You have it! this body fits the AMT release much better than the lRevell one, but at the time of its release, the Revell kit was the only kit that was available easily. thus the advice of the Revell kit even though everyone knew it would fit the AMT kit also (just in case you wanted to put it onto the '25 Roadster release) .
  5. Those "caps" are available from Modelhaus, they are '57 Plymouth caps, these were quite popular in the early '60s.
  6. Just a quick line to remind you that the the trim down the side of the body isn't chrome, but just a trim line that is part of the body. I like the way you did the sides of the hood, it really looks clean. Keep us informed.
  7. Oops, after I posted I saw your correction, sorry.
  8. look REAL close, the tailights are in the rear bumper, that's one of the things that said real to me.
  9. Nice sled, gonna say real this time, not enough distortion in the windows, & the grass looks right.
  10. The Original issue of this kit had both the tuck & roll interior (custom/rod)& the diamond pleats, that was what the stock T's had for an interior, so if the tuck-n-roll is the only interior offered, you can no longer build a "stock" version.
  11. I went with model on this one, for various reasons, but the main one is if it isn't a model they have about a hundred pounds of air pressure in those front tires, the outer edges don't even touch the ground.
  12. The issue of Mustang that I have (has the "Super Snake" on the cover in bright red) states that the supercharger on the "snake" is a Kenne Bell, & the under hood photos clearly show this to be true, & there is a Kenne Bell sticker on the driver side inner fender.
  13. Looking good, but for further builds, the oil pump uses a dedicated belt that is a cogged "Gilmer drive" & goes from that little pulley in the front of the engine crankshaft to the oil pump only, just a little detail
  14. I'm going with the current minority, gotta say model.
  15. I know the "base" looks modelish, but I think the car is real.
  16. Does this meant that those of us that still have a few of AMT's Pro Modeler '57 with the P.E. side coves can use them on this kit?
  17. We can all hope for our favorite kit that isn't yet released, but we all know it's volume, not something unique & different that sells models, & until we can get about a bazillion people to send in requests for these other desired kits, it's likely they'll never see the light of day.
  18. I'd rather have a correct '56 Bel-Air Sedan, than another Hardtop.
  19. The baby"Hemi" in the AlaKart is a 331 cubic inch engine.
  20. I'm gonn'a have to go with the other lemmings this time & jump off the old cliff, Real
  21. I think it was Bob Larivee, & he also stated that when they tore the engines down, they were actually 390's, not the 406's as was stated by the "orignal" owner. The car may be gone in it's first incarnation, but there is a clone of it that has been built. I agree with what every one has said, you did a great job, & just FYI, the bubble is made from yellow transparent Acrylic, & that area that is raised on it is a black "border". Keep up the great work!

    66 Nova

You forgot to mention that you took the body reveal off the beltline of the car, most people don't realize that piece isn't a molding, it's actually part of the body stamping.
  23. alllright, you are giving us a bad time right? this is the same car as in the first pics, but with a photo shopped background, you aren't gonna fool all of us!
  24. You should have sent these pics to Harrypri, he'd love 'em for his ROM post.
