  1. I realize that by now you have it figured out, but the decals on the front seat cushion (bottom) are on backwards, they should match-up with the upppers where they meet at the back of the cushions. Keep up the good work, looking good.
  2. Looks very nice, I did the "polish the plastic" deal years ago on the AMT Copperhead snap kit, I was astonished how well it turned out after removing all of the mold lines. The hardest part wast painting the windshield frame to match.
  3. Great build! My father-in-law had a '70 in this color scheme but his had white interior, I later repainted it in a close Light Caramel Dupont Imron, wish I had bought it from the Mother-in-law when he passed on. It was a low mile 383 version. Brings back many memories, it was what the wife learned to drive in.
  4. gotta say model, tires don't look real enough.
  5. Both Corvettes & Mopars used Holley two barrel carbs, the main difference is the air cleaner flange is round like the four barrel carbs where the six pack carbs are D shaped.
  6. You know if you hadn't told us about the wipers we would have just thought that you had updated to "blacked out" wipers to be a little more modern.
  7. Thanks for the thread to the flashing lights for the KITT, I have wondered for years how to duplicate them since I am not actually an electronic engineer. (I DO know where the on/off switch is for the computer, other than that I call the son-in-law).
  8. For a nice light pinkish lavender color, go to Testors '65 Chevy "Evening Orchid" tha shoul work. ouh
  9. I knew a local guy that had one of these new, in 62, with the 425 H.P. 4-speed version, at that time it put the CHP cars in shame mode. Just a small detail but his came with silvr painted valve covers.
  10. gotta look close Harry, the photo's there, but it does need a review to go along with it .This must be a later 427, as my memory thinks the early ones had iron heads, am I going senile?
  11. there are a few law enforcement types watching the board, so ya' might want to switch those cans right quick 'fer they catch ya' consuming that hydraulic hamburger.
  12. Got only one question, is the Union 76 emblem on the ball?
  13. NASCAR sanctions all kinds of different classes, they even have a dirt late model division, & used to sanction the "Super Modifieds" at San Jose on the dirt 1/3 mile. Nascar is a sanctioning body, it does not mean that the "cup" cars are the only NASCAR race cars out there.
  14. Dare to be different! Red Gullwings are like bellybuttons, everyone has one. or they are like Paris Hilton almost everyone has done it.
  15. Looking good! now go out & lay some rail, this one should be great for that.
  16. I especially like the Buick "drop top", & the DBS, great job. But slow down, now my wife thinks I should actually finish one of the bazillion models I have started.
  17. Great build, like that gunmetal it looks "rich". Did you clear coat it or just polish the gunmetal?
  18. I could be wrong, (rusty brain cells) but to the best memories I have, the 1948 Cadillac was the first factory air conditioned car that was released, there is an old '48 Caddy in a local wrecking yard that has factory air, that would be a cool car to build a resto-mod out of. (pun intended)
  19. Actually they appear to be the 427 engines from AMT's '32 Ford 'Vicky kit.
  20. Really great build, i think that this is one of those cars that looks sorta odd without the top, just my opinion. A question about the OOB classification though it's just a technicality though, I thought the use of BMF wasn't allowed it OOB builds, you gave it away in the coverage of the build in SA, you used it for hose clamps. Great job, now do a McClaren one in black.
  21. That's an easy one, one on the front, & the other on the rear.
  22. horsepower

    96 Impala

But I'll bet the smog techs would love to see that come in, with a carb & not any of the stock emission parts, they'd be writing for a week.
  23. Since you're goin' diesel, you can send me that tired old 460 to use in a Pro Street Mustang II. thanks Del
  24. swirlies in the headlights are easy, plastic covers are plastic in 1/8 scale or full size, & as for the window etching, even Revell makes decals of etched designs in 1/25 scale for their lowriders, would be much easier for 1/8 scale.
  25. I went with model on this one because as hard as I looked, there was simply no lettering of any kind on the side walls of the tires, no manufacturer, model, directional arrows, nada, zip. This screamed model to me.
