  1. That's a really nice coupe , the best from that kit ( I have several ) I've ever seen . What's the chance of you giving us a tutorial on your painting process ? Your cars are always beautifully painted .
  2. Wow , with all the open space , they better pray for no fires .
  3. Yeah , the Lavender one , could be anything you can imagine .
  4. I agree , but the set in is only about an inch , .020 in 1/25 . All our pics are assuming the cars are correctly assembled to factory specs . Snake is building his as a custom , so it's right no matter what , but a stock build would be different .
  5. I agree , but it's not straight up and down , there is still a slight angle to the panel . This looks vertical because the pic is tilted to the left . Now I've got to go find a 67 Camaro and do some measuring . Here's a pic with out the clutter of the bumper or deck lid , the tail panel isn't parallel with the quarter , but it's not vertical either , looks like the panel is flush at the bumper line and recessed about an inch at the top under the trunk .
  6. Yes , but that angle away from the tail light housing is across the rear , side to side , not vertically , front to back . If the tail panel were vertical , the would be a huge lip at the top that goes out to meet the trunk lid , with the slope at the rear of the quarter panel . Ok , look at this another way , if you straighten up the rear of the quarter panels on your model , at what angle will it be ? If you look at the bare quarter panel and use the bottom behind the door opening as a level horizontal line , then 90 degree up at the end , that's the angle of the tail panel , recessed in a little , but parallel with the quarter panel , of course that's assuming the photo is relatively square and straight .
  7. Here's a pic from a different angle , there is a slight indentation of the tail panel , but look at the tail light bezel and the rear of the quarter panel on the right side , they're parallel . I just don't see it being straight up and down , maybe a 5-10 degrees off vertical . Must be my old eyes . Looking forward to seeing your custom Camaro .
  8. I think many you're barking up the wrong tree here Snake , the tail panel isn't vertical , it may not have the slope of the kit body , but it's not vertical . I think what throws the look off is the lower edge of the quarter panel is supposed to be at a different angle than the tail panel , your pic of the body shows it being a straight line , that's whats wrong with the look of the rear end. you can see the difference in this bare quarter panel .
  9. Here's another angle ,
  10. Wow , a beautiful rendition of European railroading . Must take a lot of man hours to maintain and run . I did notice the turnouts not set correctly and a few of the figures falling over . Who were the police arresting at 8:17 of the video , looks like a woman with a child on a bike ?
  11. Nice conversion.
  12. Right , the flaw to matching the box art , model is great .
  13. Looks great , only flaw is the body trim behind the slicks .
  14. Beautiful work on this , outstanding !
  15. Mission success ! looks great .
  16. Very nice ,
  17. Oh Yeah , I've had a few that learned how to fly the hard way . Stupid , but very satisfying in the end .
  18. I was considering adding the supercharged Big Block from the 39 Chevy kit to get the engine "right" . I also want to build the "other car" on the box , a lot more leeway there .
  19. Cut fingers with new speed and precision !
  20. I too am infected with the train bug , but my bent is On30 Narrow Gauge . Since this was a minuscule portion of the real train world I get to freelance a lot . Drives the rivet counters bonkers . I love it because I get to build whatever I want , how I want . Now I'm experimenting with radio control and battery power , works great and no wiring !
