  1. Here's a pic of the HD knucklehead bobber which is part of the project- inspired by bikes at the T.R.O.G. Dechromed wheels and front tire from cherry bomb, fishtails from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland.
  2. This is a reissue of the AMT kit.
  3. The bike is a Maisto HD knucklehead I disassembled. It will be rebuilt as a weathered bobber.
  4. Thanks, guys! Will post pix of the beginnings of the bike here soon!
  5. Thanks, Michelle! Definitely a fun kit!
  6. Thumbs up from Ace means a lot! Will post more as I get more done!
  7. Not a great paint job- fought me all the way, and I couldn't get the nose down where I wanted it. But after being started 35 years ago, it is finished and looks much like the original vision. Color is deep maroon, looks black in some of the photos- oh well, would have looked good in black too...............
  8. Been working on this- added dual rear tires, a 50 Ford engine and tranny with Offy heads and 3 carbs for more power. Cut open the rear doors and will pose the windshield open. Tires are from a 1/32 scale big rig. Rear fenders from sheet styrene, wider for the tires. Second of who knows how many Blue Ox Salvage trucks (first one was the 46 Dodge Power Wagon).

    Opel GT

I finished putting this one together during a "waiting for this and that on another project". Just for fun, I fitted an Offy in it for a little extra go power! After all Opel Gt's do look like pocket Corvettes, so they might as well run as fast!
  10. I love these restorations! Where did you get the ladies in ball gowns?
  11. I can't even get a coat of paint to dry in 24 hours! Also love the wheels- my all time favorite hotrod wheels!
  12. Best polished plastic I have ever seen! Usually metallic plastic is full of swirls from the injection, but I don't see a one! beautiful model overall!
  13. Great garage! Can't wait to see more! Builds are off to a good start, too!
  14. Love this diorama! How about some update photos with your additions?
  15. Nice selection of micro-people and critters! Is this the first symptom of a diorama coming on?
  16. How about a red cab and stainless steel bed? Great looking project so far!
  17. Al, the body is a junker AMT body, the flathead is Revell from the 37 Ford pickup- the chassis is from a Revell 32 roadster, and much else is from my parts box- I think the wheels were from AMT's 34 Ford coupe, the tires are from the Revell 29 Ford pickup ratrod.
  18. Just discovered this thread, and discovered Acegarageguy's reference to my 29 A-V8. At this point it would need a five point racing harness, a helmet, maybe a fire extinguisher. Photographed on real beach sand from Assateague, VA.
  19. Really good looking custom! The split front bumpers are choice!
  20. OOOH! Me likey!
  21. Sinister, kool, and probably fast! Good job!
  22. This project just keeps getting better and better! The boat looks fantastic, and I too can't wait for the trailer!
