  1. Mock up of the possible exhaust system. Will probably need to be shortened and otherwise adjusted!
  2. At this point, it's sort of like restoring a junker. Didn't have a clear plan when it was started, but I'm much better now!
  3. This project has been dug out and put back so many times it's a wonder the box isn't worn out! It began as a very ambitious project with opening doors, rear cowl, and trunk. Given the complex contours of the doors, this was way beyond my skills at the time- it was simply impossible to get the door edges and openings to align and look good, so I decided to scrap the idea, glue the door panels in place, and fill them in. Recently I acquired some superchargers from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland which were included in the 63 Ford pickup. This eliminated the need for trying (unsuccessfully) to fabricate one myself. A few days before New Years I dug it out and determined to finish it mainly as a styling exercise- which was the original intent! The original engine was a strange v-12 (Duesenberg never made a v-12) so a Monogram engine will be transplanted. Tires from a 1/32nd scale big rig were just right! The windshields were from a Testor's release of the 48 Ford. The new front fenders are from the parts box. Let's see what happens!
  4. Really superb build! Detailing and working features are excellent!
  5. Love the parking lot with the Zen garden! Nice touch! 1
  6. Thanks again! Happy New Year!
  7. Thank you all and Happy New Year!
  8. Thanks! Lots of fun!
  9. Love the yellow car hauler, and your painting is great! Thanks for sharing!
  10. Finally got the hood painted since we are now having warmer weather.
  11. Finally got paint on the hood- last one completed for 2022! Teaser pic here, more in under glass.
  12. Welcome back, and going strong!
  13. These are skills that can not be lost in the States, because we do too much replacing and not enough repairing, and too many things go overseas. Support local businesses and shop classes, and trade schools.
  14. Amazing work! As usual, your skill in making bucks and then vacuum forming the bodies leaves me in awe!
  15. Last project for 2022, and as promised, there are dragons!
  16. Well, the rat is done, last project for 2022! Here's a teaser pic, more in under glass!
  17. None of these were bent- glued together into a block, then sanded to shape.
  18. Charles, let me show you what I did on a model- glued together many many lengths of H section, then a lot of sanding and sculpting. Having egg crating with some thickness would have made this project a lot quicker and easier!
  19. Very nice deuce- great chop, great louvers, love the wheels and tires!
  20. What I would like to see are generic grilles such as various egg crate configurations, honeycomb, screen, and various other hole patterns, perhaps a quarter to one half actual inch thick so they could be sanded and sculpted to many different configurations. Also patterns for 30's and 40's cars which just don't exist- btw, I model in 1/25th scale, but 1/24th scale would be fine as well.
  21. Every one a winner!
  22. Love the early Poncho!
  23. Super! Really like the 32 3 window!
  24. You have had an excellent muscular year!
  25. Love the Bugatti Royale! Built one several years ago in a very similar shade of blue!
