  1. Another one- learned the hard way you can't spray clear over Molotow..................................................
  2. Betsy and I currently have 3 cats and 2 little pooches- the model room door is always closed! My biggest oh @#$% moment always involves paint!
  3. Nice vintage tool! Good gripping handle for control.
  4. I too am a fan of Norm's work and have many of his parts- looks like you modified a 4bbl manifold for 4 carbs.
  5. And then there is nose, deck, and shave- basically removing all lettering, emblems, trim, and factory decoration, and dechroming, which usually meant painting chrome trim (light bezels, etc.) the same color as the body.
  6. Misha, is that a 4 carb manifold? If so, did your buy it or build it?
  7. Eric, that's where its from, the only kit with that style and set up. One of my go to favorites.
  8. Thanks again! The wheels are the Kelsey Hayes wires from the Revell 32 Ford sedan. No idea what the tires were from. Still want to get more pix posted.
  9. Worked on assembling the interior, also did sanding on the rear- more needed! Will seal, then fine sand. Also made adjustments to the engine carbs to actually fit into the engine compartment! Putty seems to need so much sanding and sealing to look really smooth.
  10. I wanted to use the original issue custom cat's eye front end for awhile, also wanted a continental kit and an upgraded custom interior as well. Power will be an Ardun flathead, so no lead sled here! Rear fenders were extended and the continental tire holder molded in. The hood was modified for more of a bull nosed look. The seat inserts were cut from several seats I had on hand with no particular plans for- until inspiration struck! The suspension is lowered, and both fishtail pipes and side pipes will be used. Rear skirts from a 61 Lincoln Continental will be used. Lots of sanding to do yet before any primer is applied. Final finish will be flat ruby suede.
  11. I'll try to get an interior and engine shot soon.
  12. Charles, it really is amazing what you can do with junk...................!
  13. Finished at last, just need a license plate!
  14. Finally got it finished- the fit of the hood is still a bit wonky but it conveys what I wanted to create- an upscale 1939 Zephyr Ford 3 window coupe! More pix in under glass.
  15. That painting job is impressive! Looking forward to more!
  16. Careful not to scratch that rust!
  17. Gotta love the T.R.O.G.S.! The last bastion of old time hot rodding and bikes!
  18. Then there are the raccoons and ground hogs-
  19. Modelers tend to be both patient and stubborn! We work through problems on the bench so use your hobby as part of your therapy. I am glad you are still with us!
  20. Roman, great build and love the body color! Looking forward to your choice of wheels and tires!
  21. Can't wait to see this in paint, even if it's just primer- that would really pull it together! Best kitbashing, parts altering, painstaking fitting, make your vision a reality build I have seen in awhile! Almost a shame to cover all that work in paint, but I am sure that is part of your goal.
  22. Hope to go- depends on work..............
  23. That is drop dead gorgeous! Best build of the AMT 36 Ford I have ever seen! (including my own)
