  1. Thanks for the comments. Plan on finishing this week since work is a little slow right now.
  2. Nope just sprayed the Red and Clear straight out of the can.
  3. Started final assembly today. Had to see what it looked like with tire and wheel choice. Love the love it has. Wheels are Revell 1932 Ford Torqs with spokes painted Testors Jet Exhaust. Tires are AMT Redlines.

  5. Just went ahead and took a few minutes to snap a few quick pictures of progress. Just used Testors Tropical Turquoise on engine, wasn't sure what to really use but I thought it looked close.
  6. Making some progress finally. Hope to have some updated pics soon.
  7. Use the dual overhead cam 426 out of the 70 Superbee that the hi-rise intake came from for something different.
  8. What would be the appropriate primer color for the underside of the floor pans? The instructions show red but is that because of the Red body color or did Pontiac use the RedOxide primer?
  9. Sean Svendsen has photos on his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/svensworldofwheels/timeline of pictures of the prototype model. Have to say it looks awesome. Can not wait to get my hands on this.
  10. Got my first one in the mail and have to say that it appears to be a great kit. I knew what I was going to do with mine before I got it. Ronnie Sox drove one back in 1961 and it's a beautiful looking car. http://myfox8.com/2013/11/08/rare-61-pontiac-at-greensboro-auction-has-local-ties/
  11. By the way Great Looking Model. Have been collecting items to do this build myself.
  12. Here's a picture from Facebook page "Dandy Dick Landy - Tribute to A Legend" that claims it's from 1974 Gatornationals. I guess the best thingto do would be to ask Robert Landy to see what he knows. Also Geoff Stunkard is working on a book titled "Landy's Dodges" that should be available in 2016 that should have info about this car one way or another.
  13. Thanks guys. The paint job isn't to bad for not being polished out
  14. Here is the start of my 65 Satellite kit. Tamiya White Primer, Tamita TS-49 Bright Red and Model Master High Gloss lacquer clear. Interior is Model Master lacquer Italian Red and Flame Red with Tamiya Semi-Gloss Clear on the trim panels and Testors dullcote on carpet.
  15. Been busy with work and 2 kids under 5. Not much progress at this time. Also got a little sidetracked with the new Moebius 65 Satelitte kit.
  16. Seen where a Chevy SS will be out next year if all goes well with Fords. So maybe a Toyota will follow especially if Kyle wins the championship after missing the first 11 races.
  17. I believe the funnel piece is molded in black plastic and the blue body is molded blue with red, yellow and black accents printed on. You should be able to take it apart carefully and detail paint it the way you want and put it back together with little to no problems. Good luck with your/sons trains. Keep us posted.
  18. Got 2 yesterday. Can not wait to get to building them. I see a lot more of them in my future. Thank you Moebius.
  19. Looking good
  20. PM was sent. Hope you get it.
  21. Jim, Just tried sending a pm to you but it said you can not receive message.?
  22. According to Facebook, Slixx Decals is doing a new mini sheet for General Lee.
  23. Here's a link to where I found pics online. It says "The engine is a work of art by itself that people never get enough of. It is a completely rebuilt Pontiac 455, it carries an Offenhauser 2x4 intake with Offenhauser cross rams with Northwest speed adapters to mount 2 Stromberg 97's on each end." http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/killer-1930-ford-street-rod-sweet-pea.943695/
  24. After going to the 2015 National Street Rod East Show at the York, PA Fairgrounds and seeing this car, I decided to build a model similar. Although not exact, it's actually a 1930 Ford with a 1932 grille I believe. Real Car Pic off Internet Pic I took at show I started with 1 Revell 1932 Ford Sedan kit. I took the chrome reverse wheels out of an AMT 1936 Ford Kit, tires not sure what they came out of now and went to town. I got the body prepped for Tamiya White Primer, taped the roof insert and firewall up to keep it white. Then shot it with Tamiya Candy Lime Green and Tamiya Clear. I grabbed a can of Tamiya Pearl White for the interior then Tamiya Semi Gloss clear. Taped up to spray the carpet Tamiya Racing Green and Testors Dullcote for contrast. Engine will be the flathead out of Sedan kit painted White. Wheels Interior Chassis Body Quick Mock Up
  25. Beautiful
