After reading the last couple of posts , I went back and had to look .....now mind you , this is just my observation , but ...... Whoever hits the pedal to the floor in Steroid Willy best be wearing severe weather gear when those tires dig in !

Now it will look like a zombie frog on steroids , albeit the fastest and loudest in the swamp ! Lol !

Lmao ! God bless him , Virgil ! He still try's to complete the transformation from rust to shiny permanence ! Jim , he'd just end up being a back slider ! Sooner or later the rust would clog the artery going to the brain and down he'd slide , back into the pit ! Better to have him sitting on the fence giving each side a fair taste of what twists their watch spring ! I'm waiting .......... Decals ? Chrome ? Etc ? Stuff your turkey on your own time , not ours ! Lets get this show on the road ! Lmao !

Someone needs to explain to me how this is always my fault ! Lmao ! Granted , I'm usually a suspect and rightfully so ! However , I had nothing to do with this one . Given the wildness of the subject matter , this has Cranky's DNA alllllllll over it , not mine ! Now , the aforementioned ' Vette Gasser ? Welllll , I plead the fifth on that one ! Oh by the way ! Virgil ? Big blown Hemi's require lottsa motor detail , lots and lots of it ! Hehehehe !

Question for members from Pro Tech
LoneWolf15 replied to Pro Tech's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Charlie , I use Paypal , and it's well worth it ! Thus far , only one problem ( yes. , paypal sided with the idiot ) . He returned the DVD , I refunded the money . You'll see your sales increase , that's a given . I haven't regretted it for one minute ! A word of advice .... Set up a separate free checking account to accept the paypal payments . Once the money is deposited , you can then transfer it over to a different account . This way your main bank accounts are kept safe if hacking should occur . Donn Yost -
When combined or kitbashed with more recently issued kits , the Round 2 versions are something to behold ! Keep rolling them out , I'm buying them ! They need to re release the MPC Pro Stock Series while they're at it ! Kudos to whoever came up with the tire series sets , they are a work of art !

revell 57 chevy 150
LoneWolf15 replied to CHEVY2MUCH's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Two things you have to watch for .... Valve cover clearance and header clearance ! You'll have to trim the frame area to allow for the headers . I used the headers from the Revell ' 69 Camaro kit on a Pro street Delray build along with the big block from AMT's ' 67 chevy . Alot of test fitting and careful trimming will get you there ! Good luck ! -
Shhhhh ! Be vewy quiet ! It's worked so far and there's more of them ! Lol !

The Ronnie Lyles decals are available from Slixx , you just need to buy two different quarter panel sets to do it ! The decals for the Challenger ( Motown Missle ) are also available from Slixx !

Too bad ! It's already too late ! Now what did I do with old watshisname's car body ? Lol !

The Model Master line was an upgrade , offering a wider variety of color . The 1/4 oz bottles were the first line offered , at one time they were a pricey 10 cents per bottle . The only difference between the two when using an airbrush is that the 1/4 oz bottle's paint is a wee bit thicker . I usually cut this with a 50/50 ratio of paint to cheap laquer thinner . Colors are vibrant and lay down just as nice as their Model Master counterpart .

Stance is dead on ! That rake looks sweet ! I like the paint , wasn't sure when you first had it laid out where you were going with it . As usual , I just followed along to see where you ended up ! Lmao ! -

You'll never forget , that's a guarantee ! And yeah ! I'll take the blame ! I enjoy the role of Corrupter ! Lol ! I will say this ..... As much as you've learned from me , I've learned from you ! Our little experiment was quite the eye opener this past weekend , it attracted quite a bit of attention and comment ! I'm thinking a blend of the two might be a subject in the near future . Now , get back in the booth ! -

Hmmmnn ! It doesn't seem to be occurring as often as it used to though , does it ? Lol ! Perhaps the shine has cleared out a bit of that gunk out of your system ! Two ears , two voices , one crazed painter .... And the voices sing , do dido do dido do do dido ! Lmao ! -
2012 iHobby show - Round2 2013 Announcements

Mike , I agree ! But because the puddin' heads and bean counters say it's so does not make it the right thing to do . The train , RC , and slot car crowd were well represented and they did quite well saleswise . Quite a few people walked out of the exhibit with said merchandise under their arms , quite happy with their purchases . What it costs these larger companies to attend these shows is mere chump change when it's compared to their annual gross intake . Yes , the Internet is a wonderful tool . Without it , there would be no international sales for my business , for that matter , very little sales at all ! However , nothing beats hands on , face to face , greet the people , show off the merchandise , sales formats ! If I can do both , so can the big boys ! -
God forgive me , I have to say that I'm in complete agreement with Old Goat Sumner here ! Lol ! I accept and respect others decisions to " build" for themselves . Myself ? , I prefer going to the contests and competing . I find it to be educational , and it provides a drive to push the envelope and my skills on each amd every build . The contests also provide a chance to hang out with friends , pick up tips , and grab up the latest releases at a far better price than what you'd pay elsewhere . Without the contests , no show coverage in the magazine , without show coverage , no magazine , without magazine , no forum ! Barring a judge being biased or blind , execution of the build should always rule the day !

2012 iHobby show - Round2 2013 Announcements
LoneWolf15 replied to Tom Kren's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
As Tom stated , we attended the show as vendors . On the ride home , we totaled up the expenses and came up with a total of about $1000.00 . Did we even break even ? Nope ! With that being said , was it worth it ? The answer would have to be , yes , it was . It's a chance to show case the DVDs to the hobby suppliers and the general public . Even more important , an opportunity to engage former modelers and future modelers in conversation about the hobby . We certainly opened some eyes as what we and the hobby have to offer , I can tell you that much ! My question is this ..... Where were the rest of you ? The model car vendors , you could have made a fortune ! Same can be said for the aftermarket dealers , photoetch , decals , resin , etc . Why was it left to us to answer a million and one questions about your products that I use on my builds . Why weren't you there to show case your products and raise the hobby and general public's awareness . And don't think I'm going to let the rest of you off the hook either ! If you want change in the hobby , you have to show up and make yourself heard in person , it's much more effective ! When I was at the Pegasus booth pleading my case for them to produce Cragar 5 spoke mag sets , sure would have been nice to have had a few of my brethren standing there with me ! I planted a few seeds with some of the manufacturers , hopefully they take root , we'll have to see . Would have liked to have seen alot more entries in the model car contest too ! Just another way to show off our talents , raise interest in the hobby , both to the general public and the hobby manufacturers alike . We had fun , saw a lot of cool stuff in other hobby aspects , made some new friends , and hopefully some new contacts for the business . Sure wish I'd have seen more of you there too ! But don't worry , The Old Man had you covered . -
Look at it this way , Tinman ! A spray can of metallizer goes a long way towards realism and you're able to paint quite a few parts with it before you're ready for another , right ? With what you spend on those kits of your's ( ya nut ) don't your babies deserve the very best that money can buy , hmmmm ? Lol ! The bottles are cheaper , break out the airbrush ! I figure it this way , given the time and effort we all put into this addictive black hole we refer to as a hobby , high maintenance is our prerogative ! Explaining it to the significant other ? Now that is a whole different ballgame ! Lmao !
