Rick, Going to miss you and Tommy ! It won't be the same without you two ! I guess we'll have to wait until next year . I'll be sure to take the camera and have Kathie snapping away. If you wake up with a hangover on Saturday morning , that just means we had a few for you and Tom !

Lord ! The jungle juice , golf balls and clubs , etc ? I'm Shultzin it on this one . " Herr Officer " , " I know Nutt-ting !" ' Tiago , my brother , you SoCal Boys really laid a hurtin' on poor Papa Fo's pointed little head last year ! You almost had Tommy Kren speaking in tongues ! Don't worry about Fo's 9 , he could'nt see straight enough to hit anything that he shot at in the first place !

primer and paint question
LoneWolf15 replied to hellonwheelz3's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I'd go with the white , you can experiment with the spoons as mentioned previously and I can almost guarantee you'll see a diffrence between the two . The gray will darken it , the white will make it pop . As Mike stated , yellow and orange tend to be transparent . The white will reflect the orange color back to the surface , the gray will absorb it , rather than reflect it , thus darkening it by a shade or two . -
S'okay Sully ,

Ariel, That was'nt spooky juice , more like rocket fuel ! Guys that were drinking it were either orbiting around Saturn or just about to play ping pong with their chins and the table ! I . fortunately, had none of it !It was bad enough that I drank enough rum to float the Seventh Fleet. It was all Gregg's fault !

Tommy, I'm up for that , as for the jungle juice , uh , uh , forget that noise ! Don't want any part of that ! There were people walking around last year that could'nt even tell you their name . Bad enough we closed the bar , I'm not saying anything beyond that ! We had a blast ! The boys from New York will be down and HillBilly Deluxe and I plan on doing some internal drowning that is long overdue .

If he gets into the So Cal Jungle Juice again , I'm calling you , I don't care what time it is ! I was looking forward to hanging out with you , Buddy !Oh well , Next time, I guess !

Question about Metalizers
LoneWolf15 replied to MADmodelDOCTOR's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Mike is correct ! Sealing it will dull it out . After it has been buffed out the transfer to your fingers is minimal. It does have to be handled gingerly, but the end results are fantastic . Be sure to clean your hands off after handling the parts and or glueing them in place . This way , if there is any transfer to your fingers , you won't get it on the rest of your model ! -
Question about Metalizers
LoneWolf15 replied to MADmodelDOCTOR's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Ken , Shoot it straight on , no primer needed . It dries in a matter of seconds and if you are using the buffing formulas , will shine up quite nice with a piece of soft cotton t shirt. -
-
Dan, Try pastel chalks. You can either rub it in with a piece of t shirt or a stiff brush . You'll have much more control doing it this way. You can also shoot them with Testors chrome , and then lightly shoot aluminum metallizer over it . The metallizer will fracture the chrome . Can't get a more realistic appearance then that !

Fender clearance issue.
LoneWolf15 replied to dwc43's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's a rather simple fix , simply add short blocks to the ends of your shackles , it will lift the rear end enough to allow your tires to clear the wheel wells. This will also give you the proper rake that all of the Super Stock cars had back in the day. Donn Yost Lone Wolf Custom Painting -

LoneWolf15 replied to george 53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow ! Happy Birthday , Brother ! Thing is .... if I were as old as you , I think I woulda stopped counting years ago ! General info .... Harry is the only one that is old enough to remember pterodactyls , he had one for a pet. This is back when Fred and Barney delivered his Car Model magazine to the front door ! Ps . Gregg , thank you for all of your help and support , it is greatly appreciated !Could'nt have done it without you ! The Old Man -
Jay, I use Novus 2 and the Final Detail's Treatment Wax. I put decals over this on a regular basis without a problem . Only thing I can suggest,,, Apply a couple of sponser decals and see how it goes. If they screw up ,you can pull them back off with a piece of Scotch Tape.

LoneWolf15 replied to fstfish66's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Greg, Last year was our first " adventure " at Cheeseburgers. To say the least , the booze flowed as smoothly as did the fun and stone bustin' I would suggest a booking a room , just pray that you'll be able to find it in the wee hours of the morning ! -
Lonewolf 15, You out there?
LoneWolf15 replied to mazlak's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hey !, Rick We will be at Ronoake on the 6th , Kathie wanted to try it out due to the fact that it's a car venue . Dennis asked us to vend there last year but my work schedule did'nt fit the bill. I promised him that we'd be there this year. I'll bring a step ladder so I can look your son in the eye this time !Ya gotta quit feedin' that kid Evergrow ! -

LoneWolf15 replied to fstfish66's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Is the slush fund for his modeling needs or the booze at Cheesburgers ? Oh sorry, he said slush fund , not sloshed fund . Maybe a little of both ? Kren , bring your meds ! -
Gary , Nice recovery ! Orange peel to this ? You should be very proud of yourself . Great job on the paintwork on the Willys and the Mustang !I'll be sure to show Kathie ! She loved the color on the Mustang.

Glad you're reeaaally enjoying the new tricks ! The Revell ' 56 Delray and Nomad are both nice kits that go together well with a minimum of prep work. Being that you are on a dead line , you might want to stay away from some of the older kits due to the amount of time involved in prepping them , bodywise . The Amt ' 49 Ford is another good one ! Keep up the good work !

old funny car model from the 70s
LoneWolf15 replied to lowriderphil's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
What about the recent release from Model King ? It should be close to what you are looking for . -
Jake , For your first airbrush , I'd go for a Paache H series. DIXIEART.COM has them for about $63 which includes shipping. You are also going to need an inline moisture trap and a regulator. These , combined with a couple of fittings , should set you up using your current compressor. As for online shopping , modelempire.com is a good online store.
