I always liked the 1983-'88 Thunderbirds, even though the '87 was an evolutionary restyle. I occasionally watch for one, preferably with a 302. The interior looks about right for Ford's "scarlet red" interior. How did you get the cloth inserts to come out so nicely? Charlie Larkin

The '68 has a certain something I like. That's coming out nicely. Never heard of the TV show. Canadian, I'm presuming? Charlie Larkin

I might have a spare floating around. I'll give a look. If it doesn't cost a mint to post to Ontario, I'll be happy to send it along. Nevermind, I just went through the rest of it. You've done a fine job. A bit of a what-if if they had kept the B engine around another year. Charlie Larkin

1935 Mercedes 500k (somewhat scratch built)

Wait for them to croak and then turn it over to M-B and let them put it in their museum. After such an indignity, it deserves that. Charlie Larkin -
I'll be 45 in August, and I have projects still sitting since junior high school. Trust me, I get it. This has been a long journey with a great end for you. Charlie Larkin

Do projects pick themselves? Duesenberg J

Black with a red interior would be pretty. The dark red/maroon that a lot of leather in that era ended up being has always been a favorite of mine. Or perhaps a medium tan? Charlie Larkin -
The quality of your work never ceases to amaze and inspire. Charlie Larkin

Nice work cleaning that up. Thoughts on color? Charlie Larkin

That came along nicely, Ray. Charlie Larkin

That 300 is one of the best kits AMT made. I think I might try to finish up mine over the summer if I can get a few non-humid days to do a little painting. Charlie Larkin

The 1960-'69 full-sized Fords were all nicely-styled, but the 1963-'66 were definitely the best of them. Charlie Larkin

I have a bunch... I've seen a little speculation that R2 could take some of the Auto World Clamshell wagons, like the 1974-'76 Buick Estate Wagon or the '73 Chevy, and turn that into a kit. If that happened, I'd be buying a case, and I'm not kidding. The idea of a 1968-'70 Satellite or Coronet wagon has a lot of appeal. Those were nice-looking cars. I'm wondering if they might do a '41 Plymouth woodie? I would buy at least two because they're such a pretty car. There's a lot of possibilities here. If a new tool, I'd love to see a 1959-'68 Chrysler Town & Country, with the optional parts to build one of the famous Massachusetts Turnpike Authority wagons. These had all kinds of neat police equipment and a stretcher because they were also used as ambulances. The '68s I am told had Six-Pack 440s. That would be pretty awesome. Charlie Larkin

^This. In other news, one of my friend's employers, one of the most cesspool-like nursing homes in Massachusetts, and then they wouldn't get her PPE in a timely manner, died last Monday as a result of the virus. Her mother died the previous week, and then one week ago Friday (June 12), her brother died. Her employer managed to kill an entire family. I'm helping to settle the estate. Not a fun thing at all. I'm in the middle of getting my real estate license CEUs finished up, and I have an office willing to take me on so I can get the house sold (and maybe make a few other deals in the process). On the bright side, I was also able to pick up some additional 1099 work doing audits for banks that floorplan-finance car and equipment dealers. Not huge money, but if I can get a few things juggled around, it'll be enough. Charlie Larkin

This has been quite a project, and it's coming out nicely. It's also good to know a source for the Roto/Slim-Jim Hydra-Matic. Sunfire is a pretty color. Nice to see it being used. I remember seeing a Grand Prix in it with the saddle interior, and it was a very nice-looking car. Charlie Larkin
