  1. Nice builds, Ron. Charlie Larkin
  2. Nice job, Nick. A very nice upgrade from the factory unit. Charlie Larkin
  3. Absolutely sick and insane... I love it. Charlie Larkin
  4. Here's the wiring diagrams. Harry or Gregg...can this be pinned someplace so everyone can find it easily? http://public.fotki.com/wackydave/model_ca...iring_diagrams/ Charlie Larkin
  5. That's an interesting choice in police for someone from Idaho. I'm guessing the R.I. in your name indicates you're from our neck of the woods originally? Charlie Larkin
  6. Considering some of what's been coming out of Ford lately, you may be on to something....' This thing looks great. Ford should build it; without question. Charlie Larkin
  7. I like that Merc! The color, trim, everything. Very, very nice. Charlie Larkin
  8. I always thought the 1962 Chryslers and '62-64 Custom 880s were among the better-looking full-size cars of the 1960s. I had heard a few years ago that Dave Burket was working on refurbishing the Revell '62 Newport convertible molds. I'm hoping that's still the case. In any event, I'm looking forward to seeing what Terry does with this. Charlie Larkin
  9. What a neat site, Ismael! I don't speak much Spanish (almost none,) but cool cameras are still cool cameras. I never knew they made a 110 SLR. It looks somewhat like a mini SF-10 (which I have.) I'll look forward to the English version. Charlie Larkin
  10. I think I'd buy one.... Tie a rope to it and use it as the dinghy behind a Monogram '59 Cadillac! Say....where'd that "all the evil things we'd do to a Prius model" thread go? Charlie Larkin
  11. I'd use HO or N-scale chain with very thin pieces of brass wire to connect them and then weather with rust-colored paint. Charlie Larkin
  12. I always thought they used wooden bucks as masters? Or is that that plaster-plastic stuff they use for rapid prototyping or clay like a real car styling exercise is made with? Charlie Larkin
  13. After the last few weeks, I really need a few good laughs. It may be why I've been seeking out Woody Woodpecker and Popeye on YouTube. This, however, will do quite nicely. Charlie Larkin
  14. A statement with a great deal of truth, and definitely worth remembering. I've done that to one degree or another, I think all of us have. Has it always paid off? Hardly, usually I've suffered mightily for it, but to make the attempt is what makes greatness, or at least gives you the capacity to deal with the insanity that is life. To not try is to resign yourself to failure. Charlie Larkin
  15. Very nice job, if I can figure out how to fix that hood ornament without going nuts, I'd probably consider getting one of those. Actually, I'd probably consider getting one anyway. For some strange reason, I've always had some affection for the M-Bodies. Charlie Larkin
  16. Very cool! I'll be watching this with great interest. Charlie Larkin
  17. You're right, Ed. I need to remember that AMC was the master at parts-box engineering...and they weren't too fussy about whose parts-box they used! Charlie Larkin
  18. Javelins and AMXs look good in copper and bronze. Yours looks great! Charlie Larkin
  19. REALLY nice! Is that Dupli-Color you used on the interior semi-opaque, and if so, what color did you use under it? That really looks like most Ford red interiors I remember from the 80s and early 90s. Charlie Larkin
  20. Welcome aboard. We look forward to watching your work. Charlie Larkin
  21. Scale Equipment has some nice-looking woodgrain decals. I'm not sure how you'd go about doing the framing; I'd suggest using some thin sheet styrene and cutting out the framing from that, paint it before attaching it to the rest of the body and probably attach it with superglue for best results. http://www.seltd.net/30106cp.html Charlie Larkin
  22. How did you fix the doors? This kit has intrigued me except for those stupid things. I've always been a little disappointed that Revell didn't either skip those things altogether or at least rig up some kind of an option. Charlie Larkin
  23. Um, Chanukah ended last Friday...but I'm sure the sentiments are appreciated. Charlie Larkin
  24. The final count for New Bedford was 24". The City plow didn't show up on the side street where I usually park until 3:30 yesterday afternoon, and only plowed half the street, leaving 3-4 foot drifts to wade through. The city just sent a front-end loader and a plow down about an hour ago to finish cleaning up. Happy, happy, happy....despite the horrible plowing, I was able to my car mostly dug out. I might go out for a few minutes later, so I'll see if I can actually move. My biggest problem is my tires are coming up on replacement. I'm hoping that they'll last me for the winter, as money right now doesn't really permit a new set; even good used ones for my car are very hard to find as nobody uses the size anymore and very few are made. Charlie Larkin
  25. I hadn't even thought of that! Thanks for the tip! Charlie Larkin
