  1. I'm planning on picking up another one for a Modelhaus Convertible body. I have a Pro-Shop issue that I'm building now. Great to see the molds are still in good order. Charlie Larkin
  2. They did a Lizzie Borden movie?? You do realize that Fall River is only a couple of towns over from New Bedford? I'll have to check for this- is it on disc or VCR tape? Charlie Larkin
  3. Much appreciated, Jody. Thanks. Charlie
  4. I have one of those, too. Too bad it's about 2/3 done, or I'd jump in with it. Any suggestions for getting those front suspension members to stay put? Other than that, I've really enjoyed building it. Charlie Larkin
  5. I liked the TV show, this one seems a bit caricaturish, but then again, almost all entertainment now is. Sad, isn't it? I might still go see this, it looks like it might be good for a laugh or two. Charlie Larkin
  6. My one time on jury of being called three times was for a criminal case. Sadly, I think we took the whole thing more seriously than the District Attorney, victims, defendant, defense lawyer or even the judge. The two lawyers were using it as an excuse to have constant cat-fights, the parties involved were all caricatures of people and the judge just didn't seem to quite get it. And we wonder why this country is screwed up? Charlie Larkin
  7. Nice looking build. I'll watch this with some interest. I remember that kit was released as a Selected Subjects Program kit a few years ago, hopefully they'll do it again or I can find one on one of the auction sites. I always liked those cars. Charlie Larkin
  8. Well, I can finally put some pictures up. This, again is a Revell 1966 GTO. I wasn't too happy when I opened the box, and discovered the decals for the redlines stuck to each other. Oh well, off they come, and I'll probably just use some dry-transfers from Shabo or S.E., Ltd. The exhaust was a pain, and I might need to reglue a piece of the front-end. It appears everything had the tiniest amount of warpage, and it was just enough to spring a lot of it. The exhaust, so far has been the worst part of this kit, as it has no positive locator points on the chassis plate. I still need to attach the shocks, but I'm trying to figure out how to do it, and again, lack of positive locators and poor instruction diagrams don't help. Top and front views of the engine. The engine in this kit is gorgeous, and even with just minimal painting, looks really good when it's done, and its assembly is very easy. I'm leaving the oil filler neck off until I'm just about done. The interior was painted using Model Master Chrysler Engine Blue over white Tamyia bottle primer. I cleared it with Micro-Flat and Micro-Satin. I may give it a second coat of Mirco-Satin, as it's still a bit shiny. Various components awaiting assembly. Enjoy. Charlie Larkin
  9. That 1940 Ford and 1964 Mercury look especially interesting. I agree with Nick, I'd like to see a little bit about how you do your detailing parts, as well. Charlie Larkin
  10. I was poking around for references for a model I'd like to build and I ran across this kit site. Seems a little pricey, but they have some nice subjects, including six Packards. Anyone here bought anything from them or know anyone that does? www.resincars.com Charlie Larkin
  11. Is Joe Wheat online anyplace? Those whitewall stickers look pretty good. Barring that, ordering information? Charlie Larkin
  12. Nice work everyone. Nick, that interior is stunning. I love the 8-tracks scattered. Do you have a 1/25 8-track player for it, too? Charlie Larkin
  13. That Graphite Dust is a nice match for the factory chip. Interior's a little light, but it's nice combination, that's for sure. Great work Bruce. Charlie Larkin
  14. You're lucky, in Massachusetts, you can't get out of it if you're self-employed, for any reason, throwing in jail time to sweeten the pot and make you serve. Gotta love it... Charlie Larkin
  15. I have one or two Hudson Minatures all-plastic kits. They're cool little kits, and yes, I'll build it eventually. Charlie Larkin
  16. I like the Diamond Reo and your utility truck is a neat-looking project. Good work. Charlie Larkin
  17. Wow. I'm looking forward to March, that's for sure! Charlie Larkin
  18. That burgundy color is gorgeous. I like full-size Oldses of the 1960s, and it's nice to see one done, especially this nice. Charlie Larkin
  19. Very nice build. Spinnaker Blue is a pretty color; I'd have probably ordered my car in that. As to the kit, speaking of "I'd like to see this re-issued..." Charlie Larkin
  20. Looks great. The end product is spectacular. Charlie Larkin
  21. I'm impressed with the cleanup you made. Charlie Larkin
  22. Ed, what kits did you raid for what parts? Charlie Larkin
  23. One more reason why I tend to not do race-cars. Very nice work. Charlie Larkin
  24. I'm at the corner of Dartmouth/Grinnell/Cottage, myself. Well, was, am, still sorta-kinda. Move's going slowly, as I can't get any help from anyone except a little from my dad tomorrow. I moved here to teach at New Bedford High School.....the first of far too many mistakes. I'm looking for a Fawn color. The closest I've seen so far is Tamyia XF57 buff, the XF55 Deck Tan is pretty close to the painted areas and some cars that used a slightly darker carpet or seat bolster, but it's still not quite "there," but it's not that far off, either. I was wondering if you might've dug up something else. Charlie Larkin
  25. Since the subject has been borached, what exactly would you need to do to a Revell '32 to make it stock? I mean, aside from obvious things like engine, wheels, add fenders on the coupe, and so forth? Charlie Larkin
