  1. We'll look forward to seeing you there, Jon. I'll be there for Sunday's portion. I was planning on going to the Saturday evening program, but I don't think I'll be able, as I got drafted for DeMolay duty instead. For those interested- www.masscar.com has all the information. Charlie Larkin
  2. By hook or by crook, I'll find a way to get down to the NNL this year if that's going to be on display. Fantastic job on it! Definitely one car I'd consider purchasing if they made a real one just for the "cool" factor. Charlie Larkin
  3. Nice recovery on that '57. Charlie Larkin
  4. Nice work, everyone. I should be back on mine very soon. Charlie Larkin
  5. I was toying with trying a Ziplock/Glad-type container, but I wasn't sure if it would seal tightly enough to work. I may give it a try. Charlie Larkin
  6. I actually picked these up last week. Revell 1972 Hurst/Olds. VERY nice! Tamiya clear green paint. Some new Testors sanding films Detail Master 400/6000/12000 grit polishing cloths. Charlie Larkin
  7. Looks like an interesting product. The 105 cu. ft./minute fan is certainly powerful enough. Charlie Larkin
  8. Looking very good. Charlie Larkin
  9. Wow! All your hard work paid off. That looks fantastic! Charlie Larkin
  10. You folks got slammed. I escaped New Bedford just in time, and Bob will attest to it. Last week, we had the storm that didn't happen. Most of Massachusetts was supposed to get 6-10" minimum with the South Coast getting whacked bad. New Bedford got around eight or nine inches (but Fairhaven, the next town east, only got about 4,) and on-street parking in New Bedofrd, like I had, is a nightmare, especially when they declare snow emergencies because half the street is unusable for parking. Eesh. Marlborough, which was in that 6-8" range, got about 2-3". Whoppee. Charlie Larkin
  11. WOW! That is simply remarkable! Charlie Larkin
  12. Great job, Mike! I can honestly say a beauty like that would be very, very welcomed at MassCar if you bring it down. Charlie Larkin
  13. That turned out very nicely. I assume you put some kind of masking on the rest of body to prevent the overspray from sticking where you didn't want it? What can you use to remove any overspray if it occurs? Charlie Larkin
  14. Very nice job, Eero. It looks real without overdoing it. Charlie Larkin
  15. Looks like he lives somewhere in eastern Massachusetts, so he's not too far from me. Harry, I found how to e-Mail him and did so. If contact is made, I'd be willing to help write/shoot the article if you need it. Just let me know. Charlie Larkin
  16. Hope you feel better soon, Jon. Charlie Larkin
  17. That interior looks very sharp, Marcos. This'll be a beautiful car when it's completed. Charlie Larkin
  18. Nice job on the bodywork. I'll look forward to more done. Charlie Larkin
  19. Agreed...or any cars of the immediate pre-war vintage for that matter. A lot of them were very, very classy designs. My personal favorite of that vintage is the 1942 DeSoto. Charlie Larkin
  20. Navy blue with a maroon interior and black fenders looks pretty good. Nice job with the build. Charlie Larkin
  21. Fantastic job, Eero! Charlie Larkin
  22. One little tutorial from him...how to do snow. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05/sets/72157620019991396/ I'm trying to see how we can get ahold of this guy. I've also suggested to MassCar to invite him to the March contest as a special exhibit, I think those structures alone merit it. Charlie Larkin
  23. Not sure, Harry. You might be able to contact him through his Flickr account, though. I'll ask and see if anyone knows how to find this guy. He deserves to be given press for this. This is his profile page, perhaps a way to contact him can be found via this? http://www.flickr.com/people/24796741@N05/ Looks like he has some other nice photo-sets, too. Charlie Larkin
  24. Bruce, could any of us talk you into doing a tutorial on how to use that vinyl top paint? I'd like to try it, but have no idea how to use it. Charlie Larkin
  25. There's very little difference between a small a big-block Olds. The big-blocks had a slightly higher deck surface (top of the cylinder banks,) which allowed for a longer stroke. The difference is unnoticable in 1/25. Charlie Larkin
