It looks spectacular! The flames are nice and subtle. The stance is great, wheels are good selection, engine compartment detailing is well done. Great Job!
  12. That is a brilliant idea! way to think out of the box.
  13. I belong to F.A.S.T. and we are doing a club build off with this very kit. I have been inspired by your work and have implemented a few of the ideas into my rendition. I can't wait to see this one in "under glass"
  14. What would be the procedure to age a tire to make it look like a spare that has sat in a trunk for the life of the car? Sorry for the long-winded question.
  15. This creation just gets better and better. I really like how this is turning out. I started on the same kit and you have definitely given me ideas. I can't wait to see the body with color on it.
  16. as far as I know, the Black Magic Bleche White and the Westley's Bleche Whaite are 1 in the same. As you stated, they were bought out by Black Magic...all they did was change the label and name.
  17. I just saw the progress pictures and I must say that the engine is awesome. Where did you source the stromberbergs from? They give the engine a different attitude.
  18. Thanks for the compliments, Wayne. It was fun a paint job to do. And thanks for sharing the pictures. Here's the link to the pictures that I took. http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b182/fatkidd/plastic%20models/FAST%20Model%20Club/Club%20Meetings/January%202013/
  19. I stared at this for quite a while. It is beautiful! The part that really catches my eye is where the spare tire cover used to be...the shading is subtle but perfect. It almost looks like the cover is really there. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.
  20. Thanks, Albie Thanks, Dominik Yes, I did. I had to switch off my turntable as it was spinning a bit too fast and almost dumped the model off
  21. Thanks, Bart. I hope that 2013 is better. I've got some ideas kicking around and some paint schemes in mind that should impress. Thanks, Bill Thanks, Carl
  22. Thanks, Paul.
  23. Thanks, Sam. The Merc is one of my favorite completions so far.
  24. I figured I'd show my builds for 2012. I only got 8 finished this year, but I feel that they are better that last year's builds. Thanks to the folks here and the fellas in F.A.S.T. (Florida Auto Scale Trucks) model club, I have upped my game just a bit more this year. Thanks to everyone for their help, assistance, comments, critiques, and the wonderful eye candy that has been shared. May all of you have a wonderful 2013! on with the pics...
