Are you sure you are not married to an Alien? Next thing you are going to say is that, she likes going to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. LOL Great catch by the way.

Twin Turbo Diagram 101?
1930fordpickup replied to drsnapper55's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for the explanation of the Turbo systems. Bill I was wondering if this part of your statement is why I have been told that turbo cars and trucks that have been ran hard should not just be shut down right away. (If good drainage isn't provided to the turbine bearing, early seizure may result due to "coking up", which is simply residual oil inside the bearing burning and solidifying after engine shut-down, due to the very high temperature of the turbine housing. This was a common failure mode for early turbo installations.) I have been told about this just did not know if it was an urban legend or bad info passed along. -
Looks great just the way it is.

Four door or sedan/post interest
1930fordpickup replied to disconovaman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think a post car would sell. The 2 door sedan interior may not match the hardtop but the bodies use the same chassis. I guess what I am saying is with a different set of windows, bumpers and grill (if they are different) they only need to create a new body but that is the expensive part. -
Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?
1930fordpickup replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Mark you and me both on the 30. I picked up one and thought the same thing. Normally I pick up two as soon as I have the extra money. Not this time and I regret it. The chopped roof is what held me back from 2 the first time I had my hands on it. But now after seeing many built I like it or it passes as an ok chop for me. -
Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?
1930fordpickup replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I do not understand the crazy price on the 29 as they are still out there at some stores, though it is out of production. The 30 is out of production and sole so well that they were sold out very fast. Then the problem happened and now nothing for now. -
Looks great.

I second that Ray. I don't think they roll bars for anything other then looks back then. And it looks good.

-Pilot 1970 Chevelle ...
1930fordpickup replied to 1972coronet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The good points keep flowing, I like it. As far as a VIN number, if the car never hit the road as a driver it would not need one. The big three all have test tracks around here in Michigan and other States. They even send cars and trucks to Canada for cold weather testing. All of these cars and trucks have VIN'S now but back then they might not have. Three of GM'S show cars from the 50's were saved when the scrap yard owner did not want to scrap the works of art. One or two he did cut up but did not crush. What was required of the guy crushing the test cars was a signed paper that he crushed a red Chevy or whatever it was. Times were simpler back then. If it was a new car he would not have known what it was anyway. They are stories but I heard a few about the going's on around Detroit and the DownRiver area here. a ton of things that were scraped or in a dumpster found there way outside the fence. It wasn't that long ago that w hen all the stuff changed. -

This was a very interesting read. A Pilot / test mule car more than likely. Is it a legit SS that is a good question. How many other SS cars have a body built 3 months before the Engine? Wouldn't this be a red flag any other time? Does the value come from the test mule or the SS option? It seems to me this is a hot car that should have never been sold but was, to some this just adds to the value. -
Something about a wagon just sits in the right spot here. Maybe because we had a few around the house, and I drove one for a year.

Another nice looking trailer. I like your ramp placement better with this trailer.
