That kit makes a great Jota like that. Their Pantera has best body and wheels ever. I’ve got all of them, they did 1:24 Ferrari 312T, Tyrell 007, and McLaren M24, really great kits. Ignore motorized stuff. They look great. Wish molds would appear, but well over 20y since last seen. I’d not bother with opening everything up. Have fun. Hasegawa makes a nice Jota too. But I like body on Tilt better.

The body is really nice, prob won’t need paint. Tilt/Marui has great Pantera, best ever done, and BMW 3.5 CSL. Lots of others. Nice find. Make great curbside, but has under hood details.

Fun. Wheelie wheel on drive case funny, necessary. Driveshaft angle concerning. Sudden Death. I lol’d.

I so wish the did the S1-3 2 door convertibles. The factory took sedans off the line, sent them to MPW, and they cut them up into convertibles. Lots of sedans around, few convertibles. Still can convert (pun intended) sedans now.

Another board I believe said Model Roundup posted 1/23 for 68 convert. Woot. -

Whatever he has, hasn’t done much at all in couple decades. I’m not expecting much, he’s a nice guy I’ve always heard, but if it was viable, something would’ve happened. Hope it goes well this time, not putting long money on it. -
Cool. I’m a completionist with buying all the variants that matter. Building evidently eludes my completionist. Great kit. Better with Modelhaus tires.

Then there’s sub licensing for import purposes, I.e. Craftmaster for MPC, Esci for AMT. Pool gets deep quickly. -
Early WW2/50mm mount Jeeps with flat front fenders are CJ2-A iirc. Only had 4, and had Swamp Buggy fairing, bar, grille once. Also had Surrey top in Hogans issue x2 iirc, which was in an Elvis movie too. The later CJ5 had V6 early on, later 4. Had snowplow x1, single cab x2, full up top in clear most issues. One issue had tagalong trailer Korean War issue. Had rear mount engine in an odd issue around ‘71, it had single cab too. I think it was a “cammer” though not a good one.

Umm, it’s not a 1% problem, sorry. The bottom 20% can afford change the least. -
Round2/ AMT '55 Chevy Nomad Wagon Kit Coming in 2023
keyser replied to stavanzer's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks again @Steve G that was said tongue in cheek. Obviously you guys know your market, hasn’t always been the case to the happy point it’s at now. Really glad for all this. Great budget too, you’re spending it well. -
Round2/ AMT '55 Chevy Nomad Wagon Kit Coming in 2023

It’s almost like we have real builders driving the bus at R2. ??? Car side, Sci Fi side both. Green Hornet. Never in a billion years did I expect this to happen. Surprised me more than Coronet convert, and that was pretty much a “coupe at best”. Took me ages to find 68-69 converts that were decent. Thanks. -
Round2/ AMT '55 Chevy Nomad Wagon Kit Coming in 2023

Hey Snake. That looks great. Nomad wheel wells look so much better than usual SD or wagons. The usual hogged out coupe/2d rears not pretty either. Rear panel and door trim looks great. Longer door better too, proportioned. I’d never get to it, but I’d build one like that. RM unlikely to do 57, so @Steve G perhaps a 57 Craftsman? The ancient now Atlantis tool just isn’t buildable imo. -
64-72 GM intermediates. 3 of 8 inbound. We have Olds 64, Pontiac 65/68, AWB Chevy 65. Leaves 66 Skylark, perhaps 68 Cutlass to go with 69, reworked 67 GTO convert maybe. 64-65 Chevelle, maybe a 70-72 HT/Convert based off the rather scarce Chevelle convert promos. Pretty much win-win. Then there’s Mopar and Ford possibilities. More upside.

Bad Bugs Bunny Chinaman cartoon. We’ve had tons of BMWs over years. Most in early 2000’s. Wife had 2011 M3 4d that was wonderful car too. X5M was awful, worst AC ever. She’s in GLC63. I can’t even look at BMW anymore. Rage inducing. Makes Bangle trash look adequate. Ford LSD wagon? Cool. -

And, as a convertible guy, very happy they’re doing it first. I’d think a coupe 68/69 and a 69 convert would be logical changes, similar to the Cutlass. 65 and 68 GTO unsure if converts possible, but certainly doable I’d think. Lots of potential. Great use of new technique.
