Another thing to consider is sell when you DON'T need to. Sell least likely to build or lowest on pile. Rest becomes easier. I'm sitting on tons, and I did show first time in >decade. Needed extra table, sold huge amount of fairly rare stuff for reasonable prices, on stuff I hadn't looked at, were dupes, or "why did I buy that" kits. Ebay is notoriously high on ask prices, look at actual sales prices. I'm a vulture for collections, but I always try to be fair. I've bought collections to get one piece, sold the rest on. Been on chemo for 4 years, not getting better, so planned long before to have friends pick what they want to build, and sell the rest. Families won't want to become kit vendors of dead guys stuff, and I only buy readily saleable fun cars to drive too. Nobody wants to drive a dead guys cars either. Morbid, but practical. Good luck to all of you.

Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?

A cream filled 30 Coupe! Sweet! -
Hayabusa powered Roundabouts racing to early bird dinners in Boca. Wheelie scenes would be epic. Cars, bewbs, what else ya need? Kids like diversions. Studios like $$. We're getting a 70 Charger out of deal. Win win.

30 years or so. Sent him a collection once and had him send me what he thought it was worth. On the money. I don't trust many that way. Spend away, not always the cheapest but always as represented. Probably could have claimed him on taxes as a dependent a year or 2.

As always, Tim, more good stuff in the library over there. Thank you. Hope "retirement" not working you too hard. -

36 roof for the back of the cab. You're a sick man, Bill, I love it. This and the transporter are 2 faves. I do it too, guess the part and where I put it isn't where it was meant to be. -
59-60 Merc last issued in late 60's. 59 was the Craftsman. 60 was the Magnolia Mauler. Nothing in common with 60 Starliner. Zero. The Mercs were on longer wheelbase, couldn't share jack, not even with other original 60 Starliner and Sunliner.

Buff 'n stuff. The "rest" isn't really restoration, nor is it restful. Put it in the hole, like in basketball, or Loop it, like closing the open loop. I hate buzzwords from business that some of these sound like (no offense). Hey, snakes molt. Molting?? New skin, new start? In my case, it's just final finish. Mostly with my own stalled projects.

R2 website has 2 engines listed as a feature of this issue. There isn't any Park Lane off this tool, or anything with box art resembling it. No idea what you're rambling about a Park Lane and a rollcage, that never happened. Put the pipe down and step away from the keyboard.

Great. Now I need to build a Belgian 2-window with corrugated hood and the cool trunk and lights. Just as much work as I had for the French version, but far better color options. The 2 window always seemed to be the purest design, the original. Like a split window Bug or Vette. Everything else is just a concession and dilution. Thanks for the great info Geoff and Christian. I love the things also, but too few over here. Nice builds everyone.

Gunze did one that's OK. But the ONLY early 2CV was a Gunze in an anime issue with resin corrugated hood and rear window filler panels in plastic. Also had early lights and bumpers. VERY hard to find, Lupin series IIRC, I'm not up on anime. The later cars are nice, but I had to have the corrugated hood car, it's a classic. Surprised Tamiya or anyone hasn't converted their later cars. The blind quarter cars are pulling a premium in the 1:1 market. Just found this, Ebbro pickup with early hood, not seen one in sedan or the Fourgonette. Quarter fillers not hard, but will need rear bumpers too.

Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?

Good, time for mold related rumors! Nope, never could imagine Plus a troll slays a unicorn. All 3 of you owe me a keyboard. Funny chit, mang! Bwahahahahahaha -
Prep-sol should clean it after removal. Care around the site with Novus should let you clean up mess without complete removal so you can just touch up a little. Meguiars plastic polish works too if you don't rub too hard. Try a little on a Qtip for less pressure. Good luck. I do this, clean it up, and lose all momentum on that build. Huge pile of nearly-builts like this. Anyone know how to fix THAT?

Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?
keyser replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Only industry I;ve seen where the buyer wants 40% off retail. Try that with a Ford dealer. Did a show last Sat, had older rare stuff priced well below market. Guys still offered 50% ask. LOL. MIB IMC Chaparral 2E and Lola T70 at $40, offered me $25. Pound sand. If they were serious, many were, they paid without a peep. I let them go for 35 to guys who'd build them, not flip on eBay. New kits I bought and said WTF did I buy that, resold less than I paid to get out of my sight. Less than 40% off. I brought that stuff home. Did 1k of sales and only unhappy people were the guys that wouldn't take a good, fair deal. Lots of grails went home, and I missed none. 30 kit sold well. RM aren't dummies. Production accidents happen. It'll be back soon enough. Hope the guys ripping beak on eBay choke on them. Or, it's a giant Illuminati/Military-industrial plot to crush the hobby -

Gag. My bad for thinking this was new Tamiya tool. I'd never seen it ages ago. I didn't even consider checking the instructions at the vendors. Misplaced Tamiya trust. Old Esci not bad for what is is. Thanks for the awakening link. -

I don't ever remember a 1/24 934 back then. I've got all the original 935/935-78/936 kits, but all they had for 934 was the big scale car. Really, the new Tamiya is a simple kit? I haven't popped one yet, so good to know. I've got an Esci from ages ago, Jagermeister. Not bad for age, but I'd pop for better. Hmmm. 991 GT3 RS or 991 GT3? Nah. -

I've done business with him, and know Steve K. Great guy, will make sure castings are good, even from other casters. Decent prices and great service. Lots of friends in Omaha know him as well. Seems to be expanding into casting as well, but haven't discussed directly with him. -

934's are supposed to be "new tools" but they look like the Esci kits. The display models are missing the wing extension of the 1:1, I don't remember if the Esci had that or not. With Tamiya's 934, why would anyone go up against that? -

That was a QUOTE from you. Not a personal attack. Greg posts a lot of stuff, I answered him. I answered you in another thread, asked you PLEASE search. I've done this many times. Your entitled answer was to wait. It takes LESS TIME to search than it does to complain. You POSTED here because you didn't like my referencing YOUR quote that you obviously had forgotten. Your comments, some similar likes are fine. But sloth and entitlement not so much. Many here are happy to help, moreso when most have tried to help selves first. Get over yourself. -

How to go from 24th to 1st in a old Mustang.
keyser replied to om617's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Great gearing for that track, and that thing just pulls all day. Patient, waited for his moment, then bam. Great drive. Some incredibly ill driven Porsches, the first 911 and the idiot in the silver Cayman need some school time. Really nice pack running. Fun. That car would be great at COTA with that setup.
