  1. Very nice!
  2. Both are very nice. These cars looked just as good without graphics.
  3. Outstanding work as always, Jürgen. I love the colour and all the improvements you've made. Monogram's 1941 Lincoln is also a great kit from this series - similar quality to the Cord kit.
  4. I like that!
  5. Great looking model, top to bottom.
  6. Excellent job on both models!
  7. Top notch job on the paint and decals.
  8. Looks good in white.
  9. I like it!

Very nice! Funny how the black bumpers, much derided when new, look so cool now.
  11. I like it too!
  12. Outstanding work all round, nice in that colour too.
  13. Thanks for the pics Patrick, some of which I hadn't seen before. Juha's models always amaze me and they are usually unique in their subject matter. It would be great if he were a regular on this forum - his english (and photography) are exemplary.
  14. Thanks very much for further comments everyone. Patrick, my job in the eighties gave me access to a professional spray booth plus good automotive paints and excellent tuition in their use with an airbrush. I also had good eyesight and a steady hand. None of this applies any more and I struggle to get a good result these days - but I still try.
  15. Thanks a lot Geno. Thanks Gregg. I did the scripts first with BMF then painted them with Tamiya clear yellow.
  16. Thanks for your comments everyone, very much appreciated. The Monogram 1.24th kits of this period had their faults but they were virtually free of fit problems. This applied to the 53 Chevy and 41 Lincoln too, both of which I also built at the time.
  17. Thanks for your comments everyone, very much appreciated!
  18. Fantastic job, really thought for a minute the first photo was of the real thing.
  19. Matt, that is really impressive. I don't think I've ever seen that kit built so nicely.
  20. Another of my early eighties builds. As with the 57 Chevy above, paint is Sikkens automotive base/clear coat system with my then new airbrush. I don't know why I painted the engine yellow (it should be red) - the rest of the model looks reasonably accurate so I had apparently seen a photo or two. 21. In the early eighties I got back into model cars after a long hiatus and this was one of the first that worked out OK. I was working for a Swiss auto importer/distributor at the time and one of our painters showed me how to use car paint with an airbrush. I'd also just discovered Bare Metal Foil, without which I might never have revived my boyhood interest. I built it kurbside because, although I've always loved cars, I've never been mechanically minded. No internet research, of course, but I guess photos of 57 Chevys weren't that uncommon .
