  1. James is on the right track. It's still coming, and I suspect it might re-appear on the website soon
  2. If that was one of my projects, I would have accidentaly flung it off of the bench at least once during the mock-up stage
  3. Hey.....I did that with a can of Dr Pepper (at least) once!
  4. How about knocking over a full bottle of Ambroid, all over your pristine painted/detailed model bits?
  5. I did the same thing once...grabbed Liquid Decal Film thinking it was Micro Set. The only time I've ever done it, and it was a Round2 box art kit that was needed for photography like, yesterday. I managed to patch up the paint and replaced the ruined decals (black stripes) with black Bare Metal and pinstriping tape. Thank God it didn't show up on the box, but every time I look at it I squint and look really close just to make sure.
  6. Don't worry, the Galaxie is still coming.
  7. Like Tom G said, I was very surprised there is no tie-in to Wayne's World with this kit, given several other recent movie-themed releases (Three Stooges, Beverly Hills Cop, Elvis Manx etc). I believe the Pacer Rotary engine was to be purchased from GM, who was developing it for their H-bodies (Monza etc), but GM canceled the project.
  8. Hope you noticed the '64 T-Bird wheels and ordered the correct ones from Modelhaus too. Back in '64 AMT wasn't too concerned about installing the correct wheels on the frictions; my '64 GP came with '63 Vette wheels and I had a '64 T-Bird with '64 Impala wheels...all kinds of variations out there.
  9. The plan is to use the new-tool Duster, but they're also aware of the other minor issues mentioned re the body proportioning.
  10. The RCHTA special is a 1980 Monte Carlo, the same kit re-issued by Round2 as the Class Action kit
  11. I've used a few sheets of their decals over the last few years and haven't experienced the problem you're having, but I forwarded this thread to someone at Round2 yesterday, who will be passing it along to the factory. I've been using old Testors Glosscoat for years on older sheets.
  12. The Petty Dart sure doesn't look like a '72 to me. It has a '70-only rear bumper and a '70-'71 grille
  13. My favorite is Collecting Model Car and Truck Kits by Tim Boyd
  14. I remembered the car from many years ago.
  15. Round2 mentioned the '32 sedan on the Spotlight board a couple of years ago. They were gauging interest in the kit should it ever become a re-issue candidate. There was NO implication that any of the lost tooling had been discovered, nor did they mention ANY plans for a re-issue. Rest assured, if they found this one they would love to bring it back, but that's a huge "IF"
  16. You're partially correct. It was made by MPC
  17. The Round2 release has re-tooled slotted wheels. The original wheels had a textured surface on the face of the wheel that was unique to the SOTM Vette as I remember it. I was told that the wheel surfaces had been "smoothed" at some point and were being modified to resemble the originals. The slotted mags appearing in any Ertl/RC2 issue of the '62 wasn't mentioned....it's new to me too
  18. Good news...it is the Swinger-bodied car with the separate trunklid.
  19. Sorry, your eyes are deceiving you. The kit on display came from an AMT/Ertl box; the only modification was the removal of the Belvedere script from the rear quarters.
  20. Interesting info, Tim. Sounds like you went to the Devonshire Mall. I specifically remember searching in the London area in the 78-81 and 87-mid 90's and never finding Mysterion Yellow. I wasn't even aware of a pearl white. Guess I just didn't drive far enough. And I'll second what the other guys said, Tim...your rumblings are always welcome!
  21. More trivial info on the subject (after checking my paint stash) to add to what Tim said; 1605 Hot Rod Red is (was) Roth Road Agent Red and 1607 Transparent Candy Red is Roth Beatnik Bandit Red. Both reds were (are?) widely available in Canada well into the '80's with both the old and new names appaearing on the cans. I don't recall ever seeing a pearl white or Mysterion Yellow anywhere in Canada post-1960's, but if one searched in the right places 1601 Outlaw Green, 1615 Orbitron Blue and 1617 Tweedy Pie Purple were out there. Orbitron Blue was particularily tough to find though.
  22. Yes, I did...on the Round2 built-ups. Sorry, I didn't really explain on my original post...I've done a bunch of box-art and display kits for them including the two General Lees.
  23. Hugger Orange is non-metallic. I briefly considered Hemi Orange but just didn't think it looked right compared to any General Lee photos.
