  1. Great kit from Revell. For some reason Revell was really firing on all cylinders for quite a while. Putting stuff like this out shows what they are capable of when they really try. Nothing fancy here. Straight OOB. That OOB under hood has got to be one of the nicest I've ever seen. Just well engineered from every angle.
  2. That was my goal brother. Glad I was able to provide a time machine.
  3. 3rd pic down near the mirror. You can see the section under the windscreen is white and not blue. I missed that. The decals broke I think. I'll mix up some enamel and touch it up.
  4. I had one almost exactly the same. Same gold with tan and an exhaust manifold leak. I couldn't keep oil in it and eventually I got rid of it. I think it's a street rod now. Thanks for the memories.
  5. That paint looks familiar. Metallic teal correct? It looks great. What brand please.
  6. Yep... 16K. Not like that means much. At 8 it's already smooth.
  7. Frankie is looking good. Love the old kits.
  8. The Scaglietti paint is Duplicolor Perfect Match. An automotive lacquer for touch ups. It lays down nice, dries fast. But be wary of humidity. It is very sensitive to humidity and will blush easily. But clear coat makes it look great again once applied. Thanks
  9. Elegoo Saturn 4
  10. An older kit that still has that Tamiya stamp on it. The decals were a bit of a challenge as they were sort of rubbery. Tamiya decals get this way after a decade or two.
  11. Convincing weathering and subtle touches. What a prize.
  12. Great color scheme. That kit has rarely looked better.
  13. I watched about an hours worth last night. No wonder people only lived so long. It was a tough gig that Borax run.
  14. For those with printers there is an .stl file for 42.00 on cults3d. It is exceptional quality and even a medium priced printer should be able to handle it.
  15. Bought the .stl for 42.00. my new printer (Got it 3 days ago) is still in the box. But it's going to get a workout soon enough.
  16. An absolutely sick machine.
  17. The flat black accents set it off nicely. You certainly can crank em out. I take forever, and some are still 1/2 built.
  18. That was my goal all the way.
  19. I know the feeling of putting a build back into the box several times over the course of years. Glad you persevered.
  20. That was fantastic. Thanks Kit! When I think about how they did it back when. No tractors for help, and the mules were most likely better trained for it. These guys really did an outstanding job replicating and taking on such a crazy ride. Time marches on... I think those bells would have driven me nuts after one hour, let alone days.
  21. How The? Never mind. You pull this stuff off with casual aplomb Bob. No more words. You realize a kit could be made of this right? It would sell too!
  22. Killer camo on this Shoop. I have built one tank and it was...bleh. If I need tips I know who to ask.
  23. Thanks all, it truly validates the choices I made. This is not an easy crowd to win. Ya know what it needs? A mirror! Just looked through a parts box and found a set on 70 Chevelle mirrors. I'm going to fit em and see. If not I have a mid 60's chrome GM mirror that'll do the trick.
  24. You gotta build one Dave. Lots of parts in that thing eh?
  25. Thanks Ragtopman and Mike 1017. Rich, I've been a prancy pony guy since I was old enough to know what that meant. Ragtopman, for me the last manual pony the 550 Maranello is my personal favorite. As for the comparo. I didn't mean to at first. It all just started as I wrote.
