  1. I'm gonna compound and buff the yellowed area and see if it brightens first. I hope so, as Id rather buff it then strip and start from scratch.
  2. I made a sort of pact with myself. Every time I crack the cellophane on a new kit, the next one must be an abandoned project from the past. So as I go through boxes I find things that were once front and center, now relegated to also ran. Which do I pick? Both are well on the way. The Bud King clear coat has yellowed. It's no doubt enamel. I have another set of decals, so that makes extra work if I have to strip it. The Jegs car just needs fuel, ignition and assembly What would you do if these were your only options?
  3. Keep it going, that is nice.
  4. Man that is beautiful. Well played Sir!
  5. How beautiful is that? Very nice work on a great car.
  6. Following. I always loved this car.
  7. Forgot the wheels. Stripped the chrome and went with AK Extreme Metal polished aluminum. Good stuff. Ready to spray, no thinning needed.
  8. Regular ole flocking. It's on the floor in the interior as well.
  9. What a gorgeous build. 3D printing is making possible things we only dreamed of, and this project is proof. I have seen many 3D projects over the last few years, and as I get better with my printer there will come a day when buying files will replace kits. In fact, it's already here.
  10. Savage combo's brother. Nice clean building style.
  11. Wish I had at least one pic of my Meme's 69 Javelin. Dark green, wooden steering wheel. Went to see Jaws in the theater in it.
  12. Yeah, common as frogs right.... If it all matches, it was ordered to race no doubt.
  13. They sometimes do. And when they do, you go with it.
  14. Sitting pretty. A common swap and these always look great. Keep on gluing stuff together.
  15. Not a big fan of the first gen Vette but if you keep this up I may have to revise my stance.
  16. You all are too much...
  17. Between the stills and the boxtop, I painted it as you see. Lots of washes and acrylic paint.
  18. Looks like a winner from here...
  19. Very flexible kit this. I have one myself and keep pushing it back in favor of another. I'll be watching this page.
  20. Wow, what a stunner the real thing is. That print came out well.
  21. Gonna be a winner. Following...
  22. Progress made on the chassis and motor. I've decided on Stoplight Red Metallic in the little Testors bottle. Tan interior should complement it. The paint for the chassis has an undercoating effect. This paint has been discontinued (of course). It has a great finish that looks like scale undercoating . I'm gonna miss it like Testors buffing Metalizers.
  23. It's funny you should say that because the stories are serialized through several issues. Then in the 90s entire issues were devoted to single stories. It's all over the map. Probably not for you I think. But thought I'd add to your thread. My thing isn't always for everyone.
  24. I impressed myself with this tire lettering job. The Eagle csc is particularly small. Windsor Newton Series 7 brush and white acrylic paint from the Two Thin Coats line of miniature paints. Not cheap, but it's right the first time.
