  1. The nicest build-up of that kit I have ever seen. I enjoyed the WIP then it disapeared and I forgot about it. Glad you posted it finished so we could all get our drool on. Bob
  2. SSSSSSSSMOKIN!!!!! Great color, execution and just plain badda....shut your mouth.. Very nice indeed sir. Bib
  3. This is GORGEOUS! I want it for myself...... 1995 was a good year it seems. Keep up the Stellar work.. Bob EDIT: You need to come to the MAMA meetings bro since you live in MD. http://www.mamasboyz.org/
  4. MAMA will be there in Force for sure. Are we the hosting Club Lyle? Can we compete, or are we relegated to a display table only? Inquiring minds. Bob
  5. I'll bet when it's finished it weighs a Metric ton too... Looking good. I remember these from my youth. I woulda trashed it if I'd gotten one then I can tell you that. Bob
  6. GREAT looking build there. I think I had a toy of this as a kid... Bob
  7. Yes it is enamel I used [Testors 1814]. But I am not worried about yellowing all that much since the paint callout was Tamiya TS-7 which is very off white. If it called for a pure white I would have gone with Tamiya clearcoat on it. I have a can of Tamiya clearcoat. I have the nerve to use it too!!!!! LOL Thanks Dave and 935... Bob
  8. I remember building this went it was first released. I don't recall mine coming out as nice though. Nice build of a kit you never see. Bob
  9. Great kit to work with. Out of the box build with a Studio 27 Seatbelt kit as the only add on. I decided to paint the red circle on the hood when the decal folded like Origami [Pun intended] when I hit it with Solva-Set. A great kit that makes any modeler look like a Pro. I'll attach the mirrors when I get some BMF. The Baldwin Motion build took the last I had and I stil have more to do on it. Bob
  10. Best looking rendition of this kit I've ever seen. Should look great finished. Bob
  11. Another great build John...... I'm digging the chutes especially. I'm going to try my hand at making some for my Garlits 1-R build. Bob
  12. I realize it's almost finished but thought I'd share this quick build with you guys. Nothing fancy here except a Studio 27 Belt kit and careful painting. It's been a looooong time since I've built a Tamiya kit. I'd forgotten what a joy it was. I'll be building more in the near future. Almost forgot. I masked the red circle on the cowl since the decal pretty much failed me. Or I failed it..... Bob
  13. LMFAOROTFL......... You are a nutjob! Bob
  14. Funny thing is. You can spray Tamiya spray can paint OVER Tamiya Acrylic with no ill effects. The things you learn. Bob
  15. If, however, you do have some surface scratches I suggest a primer first. This paint is EXTREMELY thin and will show EVERYTHING under it. If you are dealing with virgin plastic no worries. This is great paint but it will show the tiniest blemish underneath it. Bob
  16. Looking good in mock up. Can't wait to see some color and details. Bob
  17. This is going to be an interesting build. Looks to me like you have most of the parts you'll need. I'll be watching what is already a good start. Bob
  18. Very unique build Peter. I built one box stock many mons ago. I think it was the first Tamiya kit I ever built. Your's is superb in all respects. Bob
  19. I'm loving this one. Great color and details. You nailed it. Bob
  20. Worthy of bragging about all I say. All street/Drag machines... Hmmmmmmmm Sorry to hear about Bud. Great club ya got up there eh? Bob Frias MAMA member
  21. Very nice repro of a sweet car. I remember this car from some magazine from back years ago. Feared is right. A true 10 second car in those days would have ruled with no problems. You did a great job all around on it Peter. Bob
  22. Nice detail and great additions to overcome the kits shortcomings. It's an ACE in my book. Welcome to "Under Glass" Bob
  23. I had fun today. Nice to meet you Marcos. Now I have a face to place with the name. See ya next month. Bob
  24. A wonderful effort Peter. I hope my Camaro comes out even close. Bob
  25. Killer build Wayne. I applaude the lengthening of the hood area. It looks spot on and seamless. I wish I had the gumption to try something like that. Me Likey. Bob
