I think the 4dr was a Fujimi (or was it Hasegawa?) tool and the compact was a Dragon also. -

Random comment...this reminded me of the song Bensonhurst Blues. Somehow this track ending up in my iTunes, not sure how I got it, may have been on a soundtrack or compilation CD. -
I like the 3 spoke knock off hubs on the black one...

Heh-heh..I don't think I've ever been in one of those stores, but I remember seeing one in Steubenville, Oh when I was a kid in the 70s. I still get some people mentioning that chain when I meet them..

My board name is my real name, keeping it real. On other other forums I've used aliases, usually with a reference to 'cubicle' because of my career in software development. (aliases such HCube, Cubical, cubicledweller, CubeJGC, etc) But since I've been working remote from home for the last couple of years, I don't have a cubicle but a home office. I have thought about getting the personalized license plate 'NO CUBE'.

Yes, that's quite apparent. It makes sense in that parts recently tooled for kits in recent years are usually on separate parts trees, which makes it easier to include in standalone sets like this. Wheels tooled 40-50 years ago and on a regular kit chrome tree probably are unlikely to be seen packaged like this because of how the tooling is arranged.

Think of it as a year 2 car with the WL tires....I can imagine plenty of people replaced OEM redlines when RWL tires became available back in the day in the 1:1 world..

I seem to recall reading that these wheels were newly tooled for the Avanti reissue. They are on a separate chrome tree that was wrapped in paper within the bag w the main chrome tree. 4 sets of wheels/wheel covers in that kit.

The 5 spoke mags on the top right look like those from the Studebaker Avanti reissue from a few years ago.

Those are cool...speaking of 'The Dude', over the weekend I watched a couple good 80s Jeff Bridges movies I hadn't seen in years..'Against All Odds' and 'Jagged Edge'. The chase between the Ferrari 308 and Porsche 911 cabrio in Against All Odds is memorable.

I need a vacation somewhere warm..my sister is headed to a cruise to the Bahamas next week. I think I'm going to try a take a week in April and head down to the Florida Keys. Already planning a June vacation to Colorado.

Maybe they sold out their first production run? Model Roundup still shows them available. -
The canoe is neat.

Got to 56 and sunny today. Yard all muddy and soggy from the snow melting. Had a bit of cabin fever from the nasty weather the last week, went out driving around w the sunroof open and heated seat on. Not quite Spring yet, but getting there...

So...you think you have a stash????

My move in 2017 from Arizona to Ohio was an adventure. Bought the house in Ohio in January 2017, didn't sell the house in AZ until July 2017. I took about 5 months to pack up the house and storage units in Phoenix incl. about 1500 model kits and more diecast into 4 16" 'Pods'. Filled up the Pods one at a time, shipped them to Ohio, flew back, unpacked the Pod, flew back to AZ and packed up the next one. All while working full time. Traded my old Jeep on a newer one, then drove cross country w/ the dogs and my sister in June 2017. All models and diecast arrived in great shape w/ nothing damaged. I don't want to do that again anytime soon..plan on being in this house for a while.. -
Lots of color and wheel choices, lot of possible stock variations w/ this kit....fun..

I found him to be a toxic individual and had blocked him long ago. The board is better off without him. Good riddance.

Saw an SUV out driving here last weekend that only the top 1/3 of the windshield cleared..

Typical UK/EU website...lots of warnings about their use of cookies, data gathering, etc...

What did you see on the road today?
Rob Hall replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Weather getting a bit better...was out and about this morning and saw a grubby, dented salt-encrusted red Tesla Model S coming out of the McDonalds drive thru...funny to see a Tesla driven like any other winter beater. The rear bumper fascia was cracked. -
Slowly warming up...sunny out today, supposed to be above freezing this afternoon..

The box art illustrations definitely look like a long bed...
