1960 Ford Pickup Chassis Swap?
Rob Hall replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The '65-66 chassis and suspension is the same as the '67-72....different from the '61-64 and the '57-60...not sure if the '57-60 is similar to the '56 or not. -
90-96 Bronco in scale?
Rob Hall replied to Rusty92's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think AAM made a resin one back in the 90s. Not sure. I've thought about making one by combing parts from an AMT '92-95 pickup and an MPC '80-82 Bronco kit. -
I recall reading that about some particular 30s cars that had painted dashes that looked like wood. Don't recall what marques, though.

My sister couldn't get into her regular doctor a couple weeks ago, went to a local UC and got diagnosed with bronchitis/sinus infection...week and a half later, wasn't any better...went to her regular doctor, who diagnosed it as pneumonia...2nd time in less than a year she's had it. She had a lot of sinus infections living in Arizona off and on for 35 years, and hasn't done much better back in Ohio... I think she's going to start wintering in S. Florida.

My Jeep has the overhang over the rear window...mostly for aerodynamics, would look unfinished if it wasn't there..

What did you see on the road today?
Rob Hall replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yesterday driving around Columbus, Oh on I-270 I saw a sharp red Corvette (C6) Z06 in traffic during a rain storm...coming back home late last night on I-71 saw a dark Corvette (C7) that had gone off the road into a ditch...snow was coming down and many vehicles were off the freeway... -
Jeep J-10 Honcho grille help!
Rob Hall replied to Faust's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Different years, different trim levels, different grilles. Jeep had a lot of grilles on those over the years. The kit grille isn't very well detailed but sort of represents this style of grille, I think.. -
Went to a concert last night, Don Felder from the Eagles. Great show, always liked him.. That was the good. The bad was the weather... 3 1/2 hrs of rain driving there wasn't bad since it was in the 60s and 70s, but driving home last night the temps dropped, and torrential rain in Southern Ohio changed to snow as I headed back toward Northeast Ohio..end of March always seems like the weather is dicey...drive home was 4 1/2 hrs w/ the snow...parts of I-71 and I-271 were barely one lane clear of snow and ick.

Getting tired of winter...was about 62 here yesterday. I was down in southern Ohio (Athens) for a concert yesterday, was 73 in the afternoon and rainy. The drive home took 4 1/2 hours--torrential rain followed by snow. Have 3-4 inches of snow on the ground here now... the freeways were down to one clear lane in the early morning hours, saw several snow plow trucks, but they were in the southbound lanes, none going northbound.

73 Cutlass Supreme conversion

Wheelbase has nothing to do with the roof, though. The extra wheelbase length is all ahead of the firewall I believe. -
Revell Ford GT LeMans 2017 Motor Sports?
Rob Hall replied to 64SS350's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That’s the US market box art for the Revell Ford GT race car, previously released in the Revell of Germany style box art and flat box. Revell often puts a Motor Sports logo on race car kits, like they did with the Corvette C7 R and others....just one of their packaging categorizations like Streetburners, Revell Muscle, etc. -
Resin wishlist for new Dodge D-100 Longbed kit
Rob Hall replied to CapSat 6's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I'd like to see a crew cab body and interior. I have a resin club cab body and interior. Agreed on the Ramcharger, a pre-79 Ramcharger conversion with separate roof would be nice. -
No doubt it depends on the company, the type of position, the industry. I know in my biz (software engineering) it's pretty casual..I've felt overdressed in khakis and a dress shirt at interviews w/ startups and small tech companies..had an interview in a bar once, on someone's front porch, in an airport lobby, riding in a Honda Prelude etc. At large Fortune 500/50 type companies or municipal departments, I've tended to dress up for tech interviews in a suit and tie. With my current client (which I've been at 4 1/2 years), I never had a face-to-face interview.. a 30 min phone call w/ a manager, then show up the next Monday to start...the funny thing is, this is the only company I ever had to wear a tie at work--they had a dress code part of the year that was business formal, and business casual during the AZ summers..which they eventually did away with after I'd been there a year or so. Now that I work for them remotely from home, I wear sweats and a hoodie in winter and shorts and t-shirts in summer..

A city in China...maybe where Revell kits are produced? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhongshan

Straight reissue. And the chrome tree in the recent convertible reissue is the same (except the convertible is missing some custom engine parts-blower, etc). Both the coupe and convertible have the separate chromed taillights.
