  1. It's like herding cats...threads here go in all directions..staying on topic here is like staying in a lane in a car w/ a broken front tie rod and bald tires...
  2. That black one resembles the box art of the original issue of the kit.
  3. Yes, that one. I think it has a lot in common w/ the GMC pickup that's been reissued a couple times in recent years.
  4. I’m assuming it’s the Monogram Chevy Stepside 4x4 last seen in the early 90s molded in blue. It oddly had a spare tire that mounted on the tailgate, something I’ve never seen on a 1:1.
  5. Very sad..took a tour of it in 2006 when I was in Paris on vacation. Was beautiful inside.
  6. About 20 years ago I was out sight seeing in Colorado and came upon a Trabant struggling to get up a long, steep hill...probably doing 25 mph. Maybe 50 miles down the road, I stopped for lunch, and came out and the Trabant was pulling into the parking lot beside me. Chatted a bit w/ the couple in the Trabant...they were from Germany and had shipped it to the US and had started in NY and were driving it to California. a very long, very slow drive.
  7. Cool...the new Audi e-tron. It's a sharp SUV.
  8. After over a decade with them, I can't image life without one. So convenient to have a computer in my pocket.
  9. The 2006 reissue just says Firebird, doesn't show Trans Am lettering on the box..never had that version, don't know if the graphics were complete or not.
  10. Funnier is that my phone auto correct changed 'reissues' to 'rebates'...just noticed that.
  11. The AAR was previously shown in the 2019 flyer from a few months ago.
  12. Different camo, probably a different nose disguise. Anyway, look at the current C7..3 different front fascias between the Stingray, Z06 and ZR1..
  13. Those are all photos of C8 prototypes..maybe some different camo in some pics or different trims represented.
  14. I wonder when Revell will have kits out of it...a year or two down the road. Probably snap kits again they did with the C7.
  15. The article linked by the original poster has several pics of a camoflaged C8...
  16. Yeah, the Monogram '70s Chevy pickup has always been 4WD... hasn't been out since the early 90s. .
  17. Some reissues from Revell... not sure why Revell future releases are in a Round 2 thread.
  18. Base C8 Stingray should start below $65k according to Car & Driver. Z06 and ZR1 and other variations will of course be higher. But still way below the NSX, Ferrari F8 (starts at around $275k), Huracan, etc. Should be interesting to see how it stacks up against the competition.
  19. The MR2 has been gone from the US market for about 15 years. The cheapest mid engined cars currently in the US are the Lotus Evora and Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman.
  20. I always enjoyed going over to the Long Beach GP when I lived in Phoenix...usually stayed on the Queen Mary. One thing about living in AZ I do miss are the weekend trips to So Cal.
  21. One recent article I saw said that the C7 production would end by June and the last one will be auctioned off. The C8 will likely attract a different buyer than the C7, will be interesting to see how it does..will be one of the cheapest mid engine sports cars on the market. Supposedly the base trim C8 will have a 500hp V8 and dual clutch transmission. https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/with-the-mid-engined-2020-c8-corvette-set-to-debut-chevy-will-auction-off-the-very-last-c7-corvette-ar185178.html
  22. If you have a Moebius '69 or '70 (2wd) F100 kit, I'd use it's short bed as a guide as to where to place the wheel well openings. The F100 short wheelbase was the same on both the bump side and dent side generations. 115 inches. I'll probably try this myself eventually, I have a resin dent side long bed with the standard wheelbase (instead of the AMT Camper Special extended wheelbase).
  23. Well, the AMT annual has been reissued countless times, so I don't see any point of getting the Hasegawa one since I have more than one of the AMT kit. Now when they reissue the Hasegawa '66 Pontiac Bonneville I might get one, though I do have an MPC '66.
  24. Nice...I have the old MPC 'Truckin' On Down' molded in black version, looks like the same wheels. These wheels and tires look like they would look good on a muscle car also..
  25. It was a specific Mercury model in '57-58 with unique trim. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Turnpike_Cruiser
