  1. The cars are just props for an ad pushing junk food. I think it was originally an ad that aired during the Super Bowl, those ads tend to be...different
  2. Not much...may have to get the Pinto, have a couple years of MPC ones but no AMT ones. This one is stock only IIRC the previous discussion about it a while back.
  3. 2 seconds turned it up.. first result when searching on 'Doritos ad 2019'. t r
  4. Didn't get a pic, but on I-90 yesterday in Cleveland I saw going in the opposite direction a clean dark green White Freightliner COE w/ a matching dark green flatbed. I rarely ever see older COEs on the road.
  5. Just watched The Magnificent Seven last night..first time I'd seen it in about 30 years...great movie.
  6. I bought the Marauder X100 from them maybe 5-6 years ago. I used PayPal.
  7. I remember the couple times I've been to NYC (Manhattan) seeing cars with extra rubber strips added to bumpers...and late model cars parked on the street with lots of dings and cracked plastic bumpers.
  8. Nah, way smaller than an Impala..definitely a Le Baron.
  9. Looks like it ran into something...front end is kind of pushed down on the driver's side.
  10. The M-bodies came out for '77 with the Chrysler LeBaron and Dodge Diplomat. Canada got the Plymouth Caravelle, which was basically the same as the Diplomat. The US didn't have a Plymouth variation until the Gran Fury name moved to the M-body in '82.
  11. There a few other differences in the concept, like the slot in the front header panel and some interior bits. The concept was shown in 2006, the production 5th gen came out for 2010 and was pretty faithful to the styling shown in the concept.
  12. Got one of the MPC 78 Dodge longbed kits in the mail today. Have a couple more on preorder from Model Roundup I’m waiting on. Looks good at first glance.
  13. There was a maroon Riley Elf like that in Denver..UK number plates under Colorado plates. Neat little cars.
  14. Triumph Dolomite. They were made '72-80, though I'm used to seeing photos of them with 4 round headlights. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_Dolomite
  15. I've had job offers in the past in California (tech companies in San Jose and Santa Clara, also San Diego).. I love the West Coast, but have long found the high cost of real estate to be a turn off. I probably should have moved to Silicon Valley in my 20s in the mid 90s, though. I really enjoyed going to beaches in the San Diego and Orange County area and the Long Beach Grand Prix (along w/ racing and car events at Laguna Seca and Sonoma up north) when I lived in AZ and CO... though I enjoy being in Ohio now, sooner or later I'll probably be back somewhere in the West, the West still has the best job markets for my thing...
  16. The only constant is change. Some may be for the good, some not. Time keeps moving forward, can't turn back the clock, whether people keep up or not...
  17. I'm a little over a year from turning 50...overall, I'm happy. I like my house (though the garage could be larger), I like my career (especially working from home full time the last couple of years), like my Jeep, like my dogs. After 20 years in the West, I'm enjoying living in NE Ohio again, even with the winters (which aren't the worst). I could lose a little weight and get more exercise, but I enjoy eating.. As far as midlife crisis, I do have the urge to get a sports car..something small, fun with a manual. May get something fun in the next couple of years. I really should try building more models rather just buying more models...heh heh...
  18. IIRC the 2wd parts were only in the first issue, the '78 step side. It would be nice to see those parts again. Maybe they could took up an '83-84 or later Chevy grill, always liked those grill designs.
  19. Cool..still waiting on mine...I was kind of late in preordering them, didn't preorder until after the 1st of this month.
  20. Citroen had FWD cars going back into the 30s w/ the Traction Avant, the predecessor to the DS. The Traction Avant was ahead of it's time--FWD, 4 wheel independent suspension, rack & pinion steering, unibody construction.
  21. This new reissue Italeri #3653 does have an engine. And is molded in red & black.
  22. One tiny grainy photo doesn't really help sell the product.
  23. IIRC, R&R had a '67 wagon at one time..but they've been long out of production.
  24. it's nice to see the reissues of some items that haven't been reissued in a long time, along w/ the modified reissues. I figured after all the drama of the last year there wouldn't be too much new this year from Revell. From these, looking forward to the AAR Cuda and Chevy pickup. Looking forward to seeing what's next..
