  1. My move in 2017 from Arizona to Ohio was an adventure. Bought the house in Ohio in January 2017, didn't sell the house in AZ until July 2017. I took about 5 months to pack up the house and storage units in Phoenix incl. about 1500 model kits and more diecast into 4 16" 'Pods'. Filled up the Pods one at a time, shipped them to Ohio, flew back, unpacked the Pod, flew back to AZ and packed up the next one. All while working full time. Traded my old Jeep on a newer one, then drove cross country w/ the dogs and my sister in June 2017. All models and diecast arrived in great shape w/ nothing damaged. I don't want to do that again anytime soon..plan on being in this house for a while..
  2. Lots of color and wheel choices, lot of possible stock variations w/ this kit....fun..
  3. I found him to be a toxic individual and had blocked him long ago. The board is better off without him. Good riddance.
  4. Saw an SUV out driving here last weekend that only the top 1/3 of the windshield cleared..
  5. Typical UK/EU website...lots of warnings about their use of cookies, data gathering, etc...
  6. Weather getting a bit better...was out and about this morning and saw a grubby, dented salt-encrusted red Tesla Model S coming out of the McDonalds drive thru...funny to see a Tesla driven like any other winter beater. The rear bumper fascia was cracked.
  7. Slowly warming up...sunny out today, supposed to be above freezing this afternoon..
  8. The box art illustrations definitely look like a long bed...
  9. Yeah, Round2 seems like they include some pad-printed tire in all their 'retro deluxe' reissues...
  10. Who knows..can just turn them backwards as blackwalls. There are pics out there of them w/ steelies, dds, and white walls.
  11. The other side of that display..
  12. Found this pic on FB...looks like it shown in blue on the box art....retro style, but not exactly like the annuals.
  13. Found this pic on FB...mostly car kits, but you can see what may be the final Dodge pickup box art, kind of retro style, but not the same as the annuals.
  14. Ah, yeah..haven't paid attention to modern F1 kits in a while..was thinking street cars in 1/24th.
  15. Been a while since anyone has tooled up a new Ferrari kit, hasn't it?
  16. Not on the '69 Boss 302 and '68 Chevelle that I got recently. Both still have the Elk Grove Village IL addr on the side of the box, but say distributed by Revell Gmbh w/ the German addr on the bottom.
  17. I'm glad I work from home on days like this. Was sunny yesterday and today, back above zero now (about 1 or 2F now). I still prefer a little cold in winter to Phoenix summers.
  18. I see them in my yard all the time here in the Cleveland suburbs...drives my dogs crazy. Yesterday evening around 6pm 3 deer strolled by a foot or so from my back patio... there are 4 that spend a lot of time in the empty wooded lot next door.
  19. Nothing going on right now, about 40 degrees and still..but serious cold in coming Tuesday night through Thursday...supposed to be the coldest in NE Ohio since 1994..I remember that winter---I was in grad school at Kent State and my '86 Mustang LX had the doors frozen shut. I got them open, it would start, but couldn't get it in gear....ended up walking across campus to my office.
  20. It's on my to-do list..maybe this summer. I'm planning a road trip maybe in June to see some Michigan lighthouses and visit Ann Arbor--haven't been back to my grad school town in 20 years.
  21. I have the AMT original '69, '70, and '71 kits (along w/ the '65-68 kits), but have never compared them closely.
  22. I assume the tooling was modified to make the '70 Mach 1, which was then made into a funny car. I don't know if AMT's '71-73 kits shared any tooling w/ these.
  23. From the Book of Knowledge, it was 1958 they introduced Apache for the light trucks, Viking for the medium duty, and Spartan for the heavy duty. I don't know when they stopped using those names, sometime in the 60s? I think I've seen early 60s pickups w/ Apache badging..
  24. Interesting...since moving back to Ohio in 2017, I have seen a few vehicles with that style plate, wondered what the significance of the color was...
  25. That reminds me of a story from a guy i worked with about 10 years ago.. he said he had always wanted a blown Nova...he went to one of the January auctions in Scottsdale and bought a Pro Street style '66 Nova w/ a blower sticking through the hood, huge rear tires, nitrous, etc..bright yellow w/ orange and red stripes. I saw in the office parking garage, looked like it was really well built. About a month after he bought it, he over accelerated turning onto a divided street, lost it, and slid into a raised median and rolled it..he was ok, but the way he talked it seemed he was embarrassed he wrecked his new toy.
