In this thread in Luc Janssens' post from Dec 22, and here..https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235046796-revell-2019-releases/

I'd hope the Land Rover will be a '70s Series III (predecessor of the Defender), rather than the mainstream Discovery III of the '00s...(which was sold as the LR3 in the US).

From what I've read, part of the reason for Ford, GM and FCA are dropping various car lines is slumping sales of conventional sedans...part of a bigger trend--sedan sales are down across the board for most brands, import and domestic. Meanwhile, CUV, SUV and truck sales are strong and growing for all 3 companies. To replace my current Jeep Grand Cherokee with a comparably equipped new one would be in the $45k range, which is why I bought a certified pre-owned '14 w/ 25k miles in 2017 for under $30k to replace my tired '00 GC that had 170k miles. Very little difference between a '14 and '19 GC other than the front fascia, headlights and wheel options...I figure I'll drive the '14 until it gets to 100k and look for another low mileage CPO then.

Went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today, 3rd time I've been over the years, first time since I moved back here last year. Was fun to see the changes and new exhibits since my last visit, fun way to spend a rainy winter's day.

Got one each of the Revell '68 Chevelle SS and '69 Mustang Boss 302 today in the mail, first order from MegaHobby...quick shipment (ordered last Friday the 28th, and cheaper than my go-to Model Roundup)..

Too late, the RWD Holden Commodore, Statesman, Ute and it's variations are gone now. Holden now is just Chevy, GMC, and Opel rebadges..

Neat project...I have the ICM convertible version in my stash. Googling turned up some 2dr convertibles with coachwork by Hebmuller (color photo) and Glaser (B&W).

From the pics of the '77 box art, it looks like the CB radio and antenna were the only optional parts. They really talk up the CB on the box art..

Bill Elliott 1985 Coors Thunderbird...built 30 years ago
Rob Hall replied to <profile removed>'s topic in WIP: NASCAR
Very sharp...this was one of the Monogram NASCAR kits I built as a teenager back in the day...really like NASCAR from the 80s. -
US production of the Focus ended in May, and they had planned to bring the Focus Active CUV hatchback here next year from China, but that got scuttled. The Taurus has been cancelled, not sure if that will include the Police Interceptor version, but I suspect Ford will focus on the police version of the Explorer, especially since the next Explorer is switching to the new RWD/AWD platform.

I use Waze also, but find Google Maps to be the best overall for navigation. I really don't care if Apple, Facebook, Google, etc know my location..

GM is dropping a bunch of small and full size cars, to focus of CUVs, SUVs, and trucks. FCA is focusing on their cash cows--Jeep and Ram with several new Jeep products in the next couple of years. Likely not much for Chrysler or Dodge.

Beautiful cars..have seen a few at Concours shows over the years. I esp. like the later ones w/ the semi hidden headlights like this 1970. I have a few Matchbox and Corgi diecast ones from childhood.

Yes, this was announced several months ago. The Mustang, CUVs, SUVs, and trucks remain for the US market..several new CUVs and SUVs are coming in the next couple of years--a new generation Explorer, the Bronco, and a baby Bronco.

I assume Buick will be all crossovers in the US, since the Regal has tanked in the market.

I couldn't imagine turning off Google Maps...it's one of the most useful apps on my phone, I use it more than the nav system in Jeep.
-
Location services are enabled it sounds like. Apps usually ask to use location services when you install or update them. Pretty standard stuff on modern smart phones, pretty much has to use GPS for many apps. On my phone apps I use like Google Maps, Yelp, Waze, Uber, DoorDash, etc all need the location to function.

Revell 1968 Chevy Chevelle SS 396...........My take
Rob Hall replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I could see swapping the '68 parts if you wanted the bumper guards on the Chevelle or an El Camino sans bumper guards. -

MPC/Round 2 - Pony Express is back from the grave!

Hardly that long ago..just 2 1/2 years ago when the kit was last reissued... -
The farm equipment kits though fit in with one of ERTL's core product lines--the metal farm equipment toys.

That would make sense. Forgot about the Chevelle wagon.

It is listed as 1/25th though. Maybe a new custom version of the '66 Impala (only been the one stock version so far) ?
